Re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Hello everybody!!
Can anyone give me brief idea about hunk's 2017 performance(mileage, topspeed, pickup etc) as compared to the older one. 2017 version makes 15.5 bhp but as per some reviews its not as smooth and refined as the older one. Please clarify my doubts as I am looking to buy a used 2017 version which is very less driven and very well maintained.
Thankssigpic

Re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Hey Pal,
I own a Hunk 2008 model and have done more than 1 lakh kilometres on it. I also own a 2010 model CBZ Xtreme and have done more than 70 Thousand kilometres on it.
The BS4 Hunk is a bit rough just like Hero Xtreme Sports coz both have the same engine tune up.
I can say, it won't disappoint you if you are looking for performance as it has got a hell of an acceleration.
The top speed will be under 115 KMPH on the Speedo & the mileage would be around 45 - 50 KMPL on stock setup.
However, if you feel like you need a taller gearing you can always opt for Unicorn's 15T Front/GB Sprocket.
If you go for Unicorn's front sprocket, the acceleration will reduce a bit but you will get better Cruising Speed, Top Speed and Mileage.
Hunk handles much better than CBZ Xtreme/Xtreme. CBZ Xtreme/Xtreme is more comfort oriented.
I would say, the way hunk handles it needed a 200cc engine.
Hero tried to give that by launching Xtreme 200R but it was actually a Hunk 200R which was rebadged as Xtreme because of poor sales of Hunk name. Also, the headlight/front fascia itself was not appealing. It failed on sales because if the bike itself doesn't look good, no one even considers buying it. I personally felt that the original headlight/front fascia of Hunk 150cc looked much better.Originally posted by Naveen1985 View PostHello everybody!!

Re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Thanks a ton brother for replying. I just need to clarify about the rough/unrefined nature of 2017 version. Actually I dont enjoy vibrations on bikes like pulsar and apache 160 and 180. I liked the refinement on older hunk, xtreme, fz, karizma zma, sz-r. If its slightly rough or unrefined then its ok but it should not transfer vibrations to handlebar and foot pegs. I hope you are getting my point.Originally posted by Utkarsh93 View PostHey Pal,

Today was a day of troubleshooting, both my cbr250r and CBZ extreme have few problems.Originally posted by Vishal Wagh View Post

Found out CBR250r front brake light faulty (easy to find). CBZ extreme took an hour to resolve brake light and fuel level gauge issue. Writing one by one
1.
a. My cbz brake light was always ON so, started from front brake lever. As I found out 12.6v voltage in front brake light switch connections and also switch was ok.
b. Removed rear light coupler found 12.6v supply without pressing any brake.
c. Removed foot brake switch coupler. Now Brake light goes OFF, after pressing front brake light glowing and working perfectly.
d. Checked for continuity (by multimeter) of foot brake switch found continuity in both times (brake pedal pressed and released), adjusted cable free play.
Now brake light working properly.
2. Fuel level gauge was not showing any level (needle was on lowest position), cleaned fuel gauge coupler (bottom side of the fuel tank) by using Worth electrical cleaner. Now fuel gauge is working.
I recorded and uploaded the brake light troubleshooting process(except rear brake pedal switch) on YouTube
