^^^ Dunno about the cost of the 10W30 but IIRC the 20W40 had an MRP of Rs. 299 (with the Reebok offer). Are you talking about the Mineral based Motul? Thats not really in the same league. You should be comparing it with something like Gulf, etc. But even Gulf costs about Rs. 200... so pricewise, even thats not an even comparision.

no not the mineral based one ... its something like 5000 series 10w40..techno synthetic .. not sure of the exact name .. costs rs.350 for a can ... is the motul mineral oil better than the stock oil provided by hero honda ?

Is the Motul Technosynthese made in India or a French import?

Haven't used it myself, but the Motul mineral is said to be not perform as well as Gulf or even Elf. Not sure how it compares with any of the HH oils. It is made in India. One big negative is that it is not ment to last as long as the HH/Gulf/Elf oils, which are ment to last around 6 k km.

Does anybody know which brake fluid HH is factory filling into the CBZ-Xtreme? I know we can use either DOT 3 or DOT 4, but I want to know what they have put in, so that one can avoid any mixing. Is DOT 4 easily available?

Tried asking this at the HH service center... the supervisors thought I was talking greek and latin. Its a wonder how they work. HH service is truly appalling and never cease to amaze. They almost never know anything about anything...

The one that I bought was a French import. The shop guy said one of the reasons for Castrol Power1 racing and Motul 5000 series to be expensive is because they are imported.

And rightly so Motul hardly lasts till around 4k km and looking at that it is way too expensive for that. I have heard from a lot of folks from castrol bike zone that power1 racing lasts around 7k. If that's true then I would recommend castrol over motul if one really needs to go for fully synthetic.

HH guys use the DOT4 generally and is usually available with them. However I don't know if it is the same around everywhere. Because I have heard some of these folks due to lack of oil at their centres tend use DOT3 instead of 4 just to top up. If it is for only top up then do some groundwork else you can empty the container and whole system and fill it up with either DOT 3 or 4.

The folks at CBZ are saying that to justify the price. Don't believe that. Moreover, Motul is an ester based true fully synthetic product. Castrol on the other hand is questionable (as always...!). Who knows if it even is a true synthetic!

Thanks a heap. Can you tell me if HH supplies the brake fluid in small containers (like they should)? If not, how do they go about it? I don't need to top up... I need to change mine as its due for change very soon. So I guess I will go for DOT 4 if its easily available. Any idea about available brands and cost? Maybe I'll get it done at a Castrol Bike Zone. But I hope they won't make a fuss about me not using Castrol crap....

Even if these HH mechanics mix engine oil with the brake fluid, I won't be a wee bit surprised. Mixing DOT 3 and 4 will be no crime for them. They seem eminently qualified for all such brilliant ideas... its a miracle how the bikes run in spite of them.

I changed brake fluid once they used DOT3 from a Yellow bottle and if i remember correctly it cost me Rs35.


You should try HONDA for some really "amazing" service.



Bingo Cp1r is not even a true synthetic oil.Castrol cheats/lies to its customers i feel sad for people going for CP1R(Look who is talking).
About CP1R lasting for 7000Kms I do not think so.

Once i took my bike pushing all the way to SC to get the tappet set right.The "supervisor" revvved the cold engine to 7000RPM to get the bike started i was like.I never went to that SC again.

hi xbhpians... this is infact my first ever review about my bike HHH and Xbhp...

starting with xbhp... i came to know about xbhp when i was searching the internet for bike reviews as i was going to bike my first bike... then the obsession with xbhp grew as time went on... and i admit that reading about GIR made a xbhp fan...

regarding HHH.. its been exactly 5 months & 7 days and 58ks on this bike for me... as everybody would do, i read reviews and tested bikes of my friends before coming to a decision.. I had co-driven a friends pulsor for many years... i loathed its power but knew about its problems with chain-set and suspension.... and more over i always hated the handling the bike presented..

due to financial constraints, i had to settle in 150 segment and i finally settled for HHH... it has given non problems till now and its presents such a wonderful riding that treading through the croud is absolute breeze... ergonomics are spot-on and is also nice aesthetically... more it comes with a refined engine & HH reliablity...

i seriously wish i had some more power.. it lags behind if u have to suddenly catch speed riding in higher gears...also for a drag u have to carry the rpm from the lower gears itself.. also i wish it had a wider rear tire... 100/100 would have been really nice...

I haven;t had any long trips yet but i am growing confident about the bike with every km i drive...
