Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
Finally i changed tyres for my gladi and after lot of thinking i sticked onto stock size for rear(3.00 - 18). Front i fitted Zapper FS and rear Nylogrip plus. The ride feels good. Heard Nylogrip plus will last longer compared to Zapper & MoGrip.Originally posted by curve_king View Post

Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
Recently managed to break the leg shield over one of the countless bad roads in Chennai.
I am looking to purchase this online from LEG SHILED (ENGINE GUARD) OF YAMAHA GLADIATOR SS 125 SERIES and fix it myself. But there are several assemblies listed and I am not sure which one I should be buying. I thought I was right to choose
but then there was another listing:35BXF83850P1 UNDER COVER ASSY 1-DRMK
Both cost Rs. 470. Now I am not sure which one to buy. Anybody who has bought the same from IndiaSpares, please clear this for me. It would also be helpful to know the cost at the Yamaha Service Centre.35BXF83950P1 UNDER COVER ASSY 2 - DRMK

Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
Got the tyres replaced with Michelin sirac Street 100/90, must say that I was a little sceptical over the tyre scrapping but no issues so far.was on zapper q 100/90 before. Over 9 Years old and 63000 Kms, the bike still holds its ground. Parts are hard to find now though.

Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
Completed 5 years of my SS125 on 9th November 2017. This is my first bike and has helped me in many crisis scenarios. I had gone against the popular choices and followed my intuition and after 47200 km.s I feel that I had made the right choice! The Yamaha engineering has made my rides smooth, confident with no compromise on performance.
Extremely satisfied till date. Apart from a few small issues(mainly tyre related and some cable replacement), has run just fine.
Wish Yamaha launches a 200-250cc version in India someday with improved electrical equipments.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
Yes, a very reliable bike indeed. I have completed 73850kms. Most of the maintenance cost was on engine oils. Twice on chain sprocket and going to change again for the third time. Still giving me 50kmpl in Chennai (riding single, 40kms daily commute). Changed the tyres and tubes once, rear tube twice. Like you said there were some issues with cables. Now my electricals are throwing up issues. Managed to break my engine cowl to Chennai roads. Can't find a bike that fits me so well as this in the market today. Saluto is very much watered down. I will be happy with a 150cc version with DC electricals.Originally posted by krishna77 View PostCompleted 5 years of my SS125 on 9th November 2017. Changing to tubeless tyres?
Hi, has anyone setup tubeless tyres on stock rims?
Any mods required? Time to change my tyres, sidewalls are cracking & the dealer said tubeless can be fitted on the stock rim which is now having tubed tyres.
Thanks!Kaveriappa

Re: Tappet setting / Valve clearance values
Does anyone know what is the right valve clearance values, after 45k kms there is tick tick noise when engine gets hot i think that this is due to valve setting, At yamaha ASC they say it is fine until and unless it produces tick tick noise in cold engine.Give your details help a biker stranded in your city.
2015 January Tvs Jupiter 28000kms and counting

Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
I own a 2008 model Yamaha Gladiator since 2011. Has been my trusted companion for many rides and still going strong. At the beginning of the year, got it completely looked at by my mechanic friend and was working like a charm until last week. Had some minor things done and he set the carburettor one more time, that's it. But since then, my one kick bike is sometimes taking 10-12 kicks to start, especially in traffic.
When waiting at a signal, engine dies and starting it up is a pain. But once it starts, it runs like the devil. Even my friend with his encyclopedic knowledge of bikes can't quite figure out the issue. Carburettor settings we have already looked at but no dice. Any idea?
Thanks,
Soumyajit

Since the Motorcycle had a few years on the clock have you factored in the possibility of an air leak?Originally posted by sdm_9999 View PostI own a 2008 model Yamaha Gladiator since 2011.
