ZX6R won't be any where near 8 lakhs. It'll be at least 12.5l ex-showroom. I'd suggest Honda CBR650F.

    Battery Replacement

It seems my GT650R's battery is dead ..Exactly 4 years since the bike was bought.

I searched through the thread, and did not find much on battery replacement due to battery life. Am i the first one. .

I found one from Prestolite for ~2.5 K, 12V, 14 AmpH. a slightly bigger than OEM, so I need to check if that will fit. What are the other replacement options available in market other than OEM. Does anyone know ?

Yes Arnab we know you have faced issues and I know many owners who have had issues. Same time I also know many who haven't had issues with their bikes. Your inputs are as valid as mine or melroyal . I wish they up their after sales service. If they did that they would have so many more sales than now. This is an issue I had raised at the first Hyryders meet organised by DSK. Sad to see even today its not been addressed.

Obviously I feel it's my duty to warn others as much as I can. End of the day it's your decision. I live the V twin power and torque and that's it. Everything else is a joke. Shock absorber will fail when u carry pillion on hard riding, Ignition coil will get rusted and busted every now n then , Injector may fail, Odometer will go kaput... etc etc. I'll suggest you open up the seats and peep into the internals. you'll get your answer. Obviously if you only use it for weekend joy rides then it's fine. But if you want to ride hard then I'm not sure. It's not the bike I hate, It's the company with its cheap mentality more the Indian partner than the Korean. And once you enter service center for maintenance only God can help you. Because the charges will put a litre class bike to shame. Anyways ignore me if possible and ride safe whatever you aquire cheers.

Why do you continue carrying this hatred towards the Hyosung brand. You had purchased the GT650 naked in 2012 which you then sold of the following year. You had faced problems with the showroom dealer which is now closed. Let other buyers take a call on whether they need to purchase or not by giving fair reasons. Most of the points stated above is right but I see more of discontent in your comments. I'm sorry if I offended you with my post.
