    Planning to get the rear tyre changed as its getting punctures frequently also the the thread from the middle has worn out.There is still thread on the sides of the tyre but it doesn't give the grip that is required while cornering.

    After getting the steering head bearing work done then did a 250kms ride from Mumbai to Igatpuri and back. The bike now rides wonderfully.

    The steering after riding it for sometime becomes stiff thereby not allowing to turn left/right for a split second.Any suggestion?

    GT650R does have electrical issues with the RR unit & ignition stator but besides that its a reliable bike.We all know that Kawasaki makes better quality bikes but we are here to discuss about the Korean GT650R bike.
    Parts cost are expensive whether its imported for a 250cc/650cc or 1,000cc bike mainly due to the high import cost.
    Service support by DSK isn't the best but they are improving.

    I agree with you're opinion and that's the reason why I also ask everyone to stay away from it. But to each one his own.

    I test rode the 250 and the 650, the reason I hated them is because I've ridden the Ninja and a CBR600RR.

    If you dig into the older posts, you'll find the reasons. The bike is not worth even half of the price, same old 10 years old tech and parts it's running on. Frequent parts failure and replacement, numerous break downs, parts costs are equivalent to litre class bikes and sometimes more, increasing service charge and I can go on. Actually the bike the manufacturer/ seller complements each other. There are serious design flaws in the bike compared to todays standards. And when you can get a N650 for the same price which is a proven machine. Apologies to the owners for damaging the bikes resale value but I would always warn people before wasting their money. It's my opinion and may be many others(which will never come out!). End of the it's your money and decision is completely yours. Happy riding

    I too was confused between the two, but as i read in few other sites months back, the problem seem with the service support (DSK)
    The bike looks and performs good as per the owners. Well, Arnab could give better insights on this much better.

    So, how has your ownership experience been so far? Are you happy with your decision to go for Hyosung? How's the quality of the bike? Is it as bad as the general perception about it?

    GT650R comes with adjustable damping settings for the front USD forks with markings of "S" & "H" which I have never made changes till date. Yesterday after reading the owners manual,I changed the damping to "S". And what a difference it made to my riding experience. It felt so much more easier riding the bike. I'm glad that I read the manual
