I think most of Hero bikes share these cables so the ones of Hero Xtreme/ Hunk/ Achiever might fit the Impulse...


Also never did I face problem for getting the clutch cable for my Impulse...

Guys can anyone confirm which bikes. Accelerator cable and choke cable first for Hero Impulse.

Looks like the same. Here in pune they give similar sprocket of Hero Hunk or CBZ. Confirm with local dealer or authorized SC for the teeth count.

Is this correct and original chain sprocket kit for Impulse, can someone help please, it has become very very difficult for me to find one in Hyderabad:

Acerbis hand guards are universal fit. No problem at all. For handlebar, check Amazon or any local dealer for good deal.

Agreed totally.
I never use my aux lights in city in any way.
But only when I go on tour like 600+ kms who doesn't need more light on highways.. Where oncoming local jeeps and bus drivers drives recklessly.
Here's my bike with aux setup.

It's hard to get now a days. You can check your hero motocorp regional spare distributor if he has any left.

In March changed the rear tire second time in the bikes 50,000Km odd journey... replacing the awesome Pirelli MT60 with Ceat Vertigo Sport(downsized from 110 to 100)


While doing R&D on which tire will suit my bike came across the dreaded fact that the tire sizes are not that common in the market anymore which brought to my mind a question of whether we can convert Impulse to a SuperMoto bike with some grippy road tires mounted on sleek Alloys (hate tubed tires with punctures being pain in @$$)

(From an ex-Bangalorian, Impulse owner): Honestly, I'd just consider fitting a standard H4 55W bulb, or perhaps a 35-40W LED into the stock socket. The stock charging system has plenty of capacity for it, even for the Flash-to-Pass feature (where you have two filaments lit at once).

This is a lot less trouble than aftermarket/accessory lighting, with big advantage that it's dipp-able so you won't be constantly, dangerously blinding oncoming traffic. I ordered a 40W LED but it was too long with the cooling fan to fit in the limited space between the reflector and steering head, so just popped in an extra 55W we had from our Jeep. Direct fit, and vastly better lighting in only five minutes. It's been in there for perhaps 6-8 months now and thus far no damage to wiring/switchgear. That said, no guarantees of course.

May I add that this lust for more and more powerful lighting is getting us nowhere, and will get us nowhere - my lights are brighter, so what, so are the other fellow's, and we both end up unable to see in the end. What we ALL need to do is start dipping our lights to ALL oncoming traffic at night. For anyone who's lived / traveled abroad, you know well that when everyone follows this, it actually works SO well, and night-time can actually be the most pleasant / safe time to drive - yes, even with stock lighting, even on unlit country roads. I have had a hard time understanding why the average vehicle operator in India fails to grasp this reality, which seems obvious / common-sense to the citizens of the rest of the world (incl. poor, uneducated, developing, whatever).

Hey Guys,

I am from Pune & an owner of impulse for past 2 years.

Have been going through threads since the start and have reached till page 52 before I felt "Impulsive" to post/ask before I could go through all the threads.

Is there a WhatsApp group or something similar where the conversations are more "realtime"? Will be nice to know if I could be part of it hopefully to get some help with regards to the spares availability & also to join in on some rides.
