Bike has run 24000 kms on stock tyre. It was punctured but he suggested that side walls are cracked so it's better to change the tyre. I had no time to think or research so the best available tyre was michelin sirac street 100/90 17 for 2100Rs. After fitting it I rode almost 50 kms on this new rear tyre and I felt my bike is more flickable and agile. Now he said that front tyre generally lasts double the rear one. But front tyre too has cracks. Should I change it and which is the best suitable tyre to pair with michelin one in 90/90 19 size?

I too faced similar situation last year but the difference was that my bikes front tyre had punctured at 3 places and rear tyre had 1 puncture so after doing some extensive research was gonna fit Michelin Sirac Street 100/90 17 at rear and Ceat 90/90 street tyre at front,

But as luck would have it the tyre shop had Pirelli MT 60 110/17 in stock and after some seconds of giving it a thought I just went ahead asked mechanic to fit the Pirelli on my bike, must say the kind of grip that Pirelli are offering has been phenominal and the bike brakes better too...

The front Ceat which is more road biased helps in cornering better as it offers better grip compared to knobby type tires...

Hi, Thanks for sharing the pics. Can you please share where you got the swap done, I am guessing you got it done, in Delhi.
Also, what was the cost? Did you get the engine from a donor ZMA or we can get the engine?
Any other changes required other than engine swap ?
Eager to get a 223mill impulse.

Yes it is but 110 size is not available anywhere. Amazon clams that ceat grip 110/90 17 it's available but price is tooooo much. And I believe car 110 size is very old stock. Ceat had stopped making grip 110 size just after impulse failed to attract customers. Moreover I had to put tyre on urgent bases.

    Hey people,

sorry for vanishing from the forum. As got busy with new job n stuff.

Just wanted to update after 4 yrs of ownership of my Dragon (thats wat i can my Impulse).

Its been 4 long years with my bike and to be honest. I never got a change to complain anything abt it til now.

Recent 2 weeks back had been to ooty (solo). with 2 or 3 stops.

The bike has never had any issues til now from the time i purchased (had a carb issue when i purchased and they replaced it fter many days of cold war between me n service people)

    Its been 21k kms ODO.

Changed the stock back indicators to Maruthi 800 indicators. (yeah u heard that right).

Need to get few things done on my next service
    > Fork oil replacment (suspension in front is getting a bit hard)
    > Cone bearing replacment (the tuk tuk sound stil persists from the time of purchase. may be faulty bearings)
    > Sproket replacment.
