    Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience

    Hey guys...
Have been following this thread since I thought of buying an Impulse in last October. Rich in information related to the bike. Also the experiences shared by the riders are very helpful in understanding the machine more.
Have been using my Impulse since Nov 2015 with lots of ups and downs.
One of them being the Carb Slide Jamming issue. Has anyone found any permanent solution for that..???
Also my tyres have started showing minor cracks all over yet the bike was bought in Nov 2015. Contacted Ceat Customer care and they ruled out the replacement option as they say the tyres were manufactured in Apr 2011 and hence out of their warranty period of 3 years.
Contacted the dealer and he is just giving fake commitments that he will help me in getting the tyres replaced at no cost. This is going on since more than a month. Complained on Hero Customer Care but in vain.
Any suggestion from you guys will be of great help.

    Thanks,
    Nishit

I would go for reboring rather than transplant.

I have got it supersized to accomodate zma piston, and few other parts have also been replaced, like rockers, cam, crank, carb etc. accordingly. Technically my bike has become 200cc. Cant really explain in detail. There is a proper methamatical formula that is followed while this process. Perhaps I can get a written explainaton fromy mechanic and share some time later.
I havent really cared about the FE even when I had apache rtr piston installed (technically 180cc). So even now I hardly notice. But using rough observation i guess i am easily getting over 35kmpl.
That's really good to hear sanket and more details would be appreciated.

Would definitely like to know more in details. Kindly come with an elaborative process of what has been done.

Hey sanket , I know I'm quite late to join this thread but could you please elaborate on the mods you have done on your bike , I am eager to try out the rebore and how did it hurt the fuel efficiency ? Please do reply. Thanks in advance

ZMA engine swap is an option but I am not really bug fan as it adds on some weight to the bike. Rather I am using the zma piston and carb with supersized block currently. Delivers good amount of torque and the bike is swift, equivalent to zma.
