Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
Quite possible a hoax. But I'd love if it comes true. I've written to them many times on their suggestion page to bring impulse back. Lol.Originally posted by tej1 View Post

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
The Bored version and also the Karizma engine upgrade in Impulse is going on for last 3 to 4yrs now. But Hero cannot bring it in officially due to MoU signed with Honda, which avoids any alterations in Chasis design and Engine design.Originally posted by Sanket_R15 View PostNope, existing engine, just re-bored to the size to fit karizma piston in it. Resulting in 200cc of displacement. I had a 180cc setup before this with apache rtr piston.

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
There is ofcourse a strong noticable difference in the power and specially torque. I cant tell exactly about the cost because the used bike I purchased was in a pathetic condition and over all I have spent about 25k-ish so far. But for a 180cc setup it'll cost around 14-15k. And if you want to get a bigger carb too, then add may be 3-4k more. I am using existing carb with suitable main jet for best result.Originally posted by Pique242 View PostDo u feel the difference in power and torque after reboring ? How much did it cost? And I guess it made the stroke longer right?
The stroke is more or less same or I'd say may be even a bit shorter as the connector and crank were were also replace during all this process.Ride what you Love !!

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
For a 200 setup i think it'll cost you around 18kOriginally posted by IamAditya View Post
F.E. I can say easily around 35kmpl, which I must say isnt bad (recalling the way I ride her)
My next plan is to try and see if we can fit a duke200 engine into this. Will keep this thread updated incase it works out well.Ride what you Love !!

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
Hehe, well I must say it all turned out like that due to the screwed up deal I got while purchasing this used impulse. My mechanic put all his efforts and it resulted into this blissful ride. I learnt a lot while getting my bike rebuilt.Originally posted by Pique242 View PostWow u have put hand deep in engine lol. Nice to hear that. I'm always keeping my eyes out on olx for impulse..

If D200 engine is not possible, try the bs4 pulsar220 or rtr200 engine.
Must update the work.
Cheers.

Planning to purchase a Used Hero Impulse yay or nay?
Hey guys,
Having a tough time deciding, so i thought i should hit the forum.
I currently own a tvs jupiter thats done hardly 9500km in a year or so, i was thinking of purchasing a used Hero Impulse for daily/offroad-ish use. I seemed to like the enduro/mx body design. Hence the thoughts.
Can someone help me out with a short review?
If the bike suffers from any problems please list them out.
Thank you
