    Re: Honda CBR 150 R

Hello guys, I am new to the thread.

I've been wanting to change my engine oil to some other brand other than Honda.
Any good options you know of?
Just so you know, my daily commute is of ~50kms

And also how do I change the engine oil by myself? I am sorry but I am not a DIY guy, yet!

    Regards
    Zaid

Hi... I am Malav Soni from Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
I had bought cbr150r(red) on Jan 18, 2014. Now I want to sell this bike. It still has remaining 2 services and 2 washings through AMC. It gives 45kmpl in city(Gandhinagar).
At what price I should sell this bike?

My cbr150 gives overall mileage of 41kmpl. 36 litres required for 1500 kms. These 1500 kms done in all conditions( city, highway, off road, top speed, race etc).
    I am happy with this!!

I don't count city n highway mileage separately. but i guess city mileage will be 38kmpl n highway 45kmpl

Coming to the sound, yes, I agree with you, the 150R does sound better. Especially when I redline her, once in a while, the sound makes me feel I'm aboard a supersport!
However, the sound does get a bit irritating at times, especially in B2B traffic where I have to rev her quite a bit just to get moving, it feels like she growls too loud to move just a little.
This is where I like the 250R, it's quieter at low RPMs and starts roaring when you pin the throttle! I've ridden a friend's 250R and absolutely loved the way it gives you the roars right when you want them.
I dont know what he did to fix it (if he tightened or just stuffed something in there ) but I don't have the noise anymore. Sorry, but he took the bike to another place and returned it when he was done with it. In fact he was so busy, he heard only half of my "thank you", before running off. I didn't get the chance to ask what the problem was.

As for the sound, the 250s I've heard have this asthmatic sound. But yes, I'm pretty sure it would growl at higher RPMs. I've never ridden a 250. Will have to try it out soon.

Is it just me or does the 150R sound better than the 250R? It's got more bass

You should check the fuses under the front seat.

I bought it on the 20th of May. The on-the-road price was 1.45 lacs(Surprising fact is that R15s also costs the same here). And disappointingly the switch gear is same as that of the old one(But I still don't find any problem with the current one),It doesn't have kill switch or the pass light button.

Hey everyone. Did anyone face a headlight leakage problem on your cbr. Just after my first ride in the rain there was condensed water all over my headlight glass. The SVC guys told me that they can replace it under warranty . They tried to remove and replace the seal but still there was leakage. The new parts would take a weak to come. Waiting for it....
