    Re: Honda CBR 150 R

The official Honda website (honda2wheelersindia) shows some Carbon-Fibre printed panels for the CBR 150R. Has anyone here bought those and fitted them?

Now the mechanic says since the clutch plate is manufactured in Thailand it is expensive around 3.5k unlike 250R which is manufactured in India. Im thinking of verifying the complete matter with another SVC.
Can anybody throw some light on this?
CBR 150 has always had some problems shifting in lower gears at low rpm.
I recently got my clutch plate changed at 2.2k in pune, but my babyblade had 14k kms including a Ladakh ride.

Getting a second opinion might be good for your case.

Now the Honda SVC guys wanna charge me a good 250 bucks just to change a windscreen which costs only about 275 bucks. So instead of losing the cash I thought of keeping it a DIY job - changing the windscreen myself! Saves me the cash and would be an enjoyable experience too!
    Please help and guide me!
    Help, anyone?

Issue 1: Indicator reflector- Simple replacement sorted out your issue.

Issue 2: Panel gaps. Thats quite zoomed in. Irregular panel gaps do occur but I think your bike has more panel gap. But your photos are too zoomed and I would ask you to have some peace from the fact that from normal distance, I assume no one might be able to spot these panel gaps. I hope service centre can fix this if its only specific to your bike.

Issue 3: Oil leak. I can see rust. Chennai atmosphere is very harsh on motorcycles as documented everywhere. Have you checked the month and year of manufacture of your CBR? I think that one reason for that rusty leak is that your bike was standing in the stockyard for the past 4-5 months. Again, this needs to be sorted out by the service centre.

Issue 4: Vibrations. Thats strange as CBR is known for being one of the most refined bike in its class. I suspect that the engine mounts may have issues in your bike, again could be because of prolonged standing in the dealership stockyard where chennai air, rain and sun affected the mounts. I could be wrong here and would leave this to expert members here.

After two weeks , The oil started leaking from one bolt the bolt which has a copper washer , As it was time for first service and I completed 680 kms odo , I informed them but they didn't resolve and I had to go again after week and they resolved it . I have a large panel gaps at rear which I guess only in my bike . Again everybody said there are no vibrations but after I rev above 6 or 7 k the handle bar along with brake pedals vibrates so intensely that I couldn't apply brakes . I think I have got a major defect from production itself so that's asking someone to test drive it and help me resolve.

Sorry forgot to mention that even at idle the bike front assembly vibrates . And the fan starts with iginition even without and bars it was not so earlier the fans kicked in only after three bars but now starts with ignition. I asked svc they said its normal but I guess they are misleading me ?
