Hello guys,
Had 1st free service done at 560 km. The bill came up to 260/- for oil change. The only issue, like weird noise from engine, which I had mentioned earlier, has been taken care, but I was not informed as to what the issue was.
Now, I have clocked 1k plus on the ODO. The engine is butter smooth as usual; no issues (touchwood)
. I am getting a constant mileage of 67-72 km/L depending on traffic conditions (reserve-to-reserve), but I have heard a few not agreeing with me regarding mileage. I always maintain a constant speed of 40-45 km/hr and do not rev the engine; this might be the cause of such a mileage.

Bro the tik tik sound that you can hear comes while the metals of the bikes cool. its like there is a upper coat of the metal and the lower coat of another metal...so one cools faster than the other...so it tends to come to its original molecular state....so that tik tik sound comes during this process...Originally posted by scorpion78 View PostGuys, I am getting a peculiar sound when I switch off the ignition each and every time consistently on a daily basis after returning from a ride, both short and long drives, sounds like "tik tik," and fades away after some time. Is this normal?
And yeah id be getting my DY on this 11th...!!!! monsoon grey!!!!!!!:-)Regards-

Hi all
My search for next family bike brought me to this thread. My requirements are
a. Should have good comfort level
b. Should have good mileage( above 50 KMPL atleast )
c. Should be strictly vibration free till 65-70 KMPH.
Reading through reviews available, I think Honda DY fulfills all above requirements. If any Honda DY owner has different experience, Please let me know.
I have another query too, is there storage space available in Honday DY ( read somewhere that seat is fixed ).
Thanks

Is this thread dead ???
Anyway, Took TD of Dream Yuga. I must say its got something in it, it was quite happily moving somewhere between 20-25 KMPH in top gear along with pillion !!!!! Took it till 60 KMPH with almost nil vibrations( could not take it higher due to traffic and short test drive being offered by dealer).

b. Mine gives 65-70 kmpl
c. Yes. No vibrations at 65km/hr. Never touched 70.
d. Yes. Storage space is long and along with toolbox.
If you have any questions then do ask.
I will suggest you to get CB Twister as it has got bit more power,Style and same average as Honda DY.

Thanks for ur inputs. Actually I am in dilemma over Twister or Dream Yuga, will get it sorted out in some daysOriginally posted by n00b View Posta. Extremly comfortable for rider as well as pillion. Recently did a 500 km ride.

. What I like in Dream Yuga is comparatively smoother engine to Twister ( though,It could be issue with Twister that I test drove ). Dream Yuga has that sense of simplicity yet sophisitication, which I liked !

Hi to all. There are i few questions i have. I would like to have your views on it.
- What is the seat height of this bike.
- I am 5'5' will i be able to plant my legs, on ground properly ?
- How much would it cost to add disk brakes in this.
- some people are saying its pickup is pathetic. I understand it is 110 cc so it won't be great. But is is okay??
- Finally most important of all - I am confused between dream yuga, passion xpro and discover 100t. I would like to have your views on it.
(will update this post if any thing else comes to my mind).
Thanks in advance.

Not sure if its helpful now but Im 5-11 and the seat height is comfortable for me, so it may be a problem for your height, do take a test drive
Even Im interested in knowing about the disc brake cost for this
The intial pick up is pretty good and can be improved a little by using Iridium spark plug ( i observed a slight improvement in low rpm response )
I would say Dream Yuga is a good package but havent tested Xpro and discover 100t
The only problem i have in my bike is i get a consistent mileage of 48-51Kmpl no matter where i ride ( highway or city) or how much i ride, never observed even 55kmpl ( my earlier bike TVS Victor was giving 55kmpl even after 9 years of riding) I dont know if its a problem with my bike, other users may be able to comment on this
I had complained about this during first service at Ananda Honda and after a pathetic service from them and 5 visits to rectify another problem introduced by them ( a very long story ) i switched to Saphire honda based on suggestions in this forum for 2nd Service and even though the service was slightly better the mileage did not improve and when i went back and after some discussions i approached Nazir Hussain and he suggested that i complete atleast 2500Kms and he said that the mileage will be low until we put some kilometers on the odo ( had completed only ~1.5K Kms by then ) and promised that he will look into this and fix the problem during next service. It would help if any experts can help me with this and tell me if this is expected on a Honda (Never had this problem with my earlier bike TVS Victor )Do speed breakers break speed or break backs !!!

Re: Honda Dream Yuga
i did not read the whole thread.... but i read some passages.... Because i am a owner of dream yuga for last 2 month 20 days...clocked 3020km in odo. i did not start an owner ship thread here because no time....Still date my observations are...
1, Engine is not a honda family because it is not smooth as shine or unicorn. But it is like a hero honda ....
2, I always up shift after 4 th gear. but no 5th gear.
3, initial pick up awesome for a 110cc bike
4, riding seat is not comfortable for me. it is not wide enough to support my back.
5, Handling is good.
5, Braking is not excellent but its good for 110cc segment.
6, Most of rear passengers said the back seat is hard also the back suspension is not good enough to absorb path holes.
7, Like all bikes in monsoon season my legs get water splashing by my front tire. mud guard design is not good for this bike.
8, tires are from TVS and they have low width. like to skidding.80 or 90. ?
9, top speed will be 88 or nearby.
10, i am getting only 50-55 mileage

Re: Honda Dream Yuga
I brought a DY last September and have completed 4.3K kms so far and completed 3 services and here is my summaryOriginally posted by arungv View Posti did not read the whole thread.... but i read some passages.... 10, i am getting only 50-55 mileage
Pros
Good handling, decent initial pick up
I feel the vibrations are lower compared to Shine
Cons
Very poor mileage: I was getting around 50-52 in the begining and its been a downhill from there on and mileage is dropping after each service and right now Im getting a mileage of 40-42 !!!!! (the worst i had managed in my ~9 year old TVS Victor with same riding style was 53kmpl)
Now even with the best possible riding style in DY ( smooth acceleration and deceleration ) the best i managed was around 49kmpl.
One of the worst Service centers (tried Ananda Honda for 1st service and Saphire Honda for 2nd and 3rd sevice) they dont check for the reported problems and for the mileage complaint they only tweaked the carb setting and make it lean which results in problematic throttle response, they dont show the intent to resolve a problem or even acknowlege that the problem exits (blame everything else other than the bike)
Slightly harder suspension setting, not good for pothole ridden roads though handling is good for this bike
Very bad mudguard design both vehicle and my legs gets water splashed and the bike looks dirty even from a short ride
Quality seems to be much much lower than a Unicorn and doesnt deserve the hype about a Honda bike, doesnt feel like a 110cc premium bike ( price is a premium though)
TVS Tyres dont seem to be wide enough but so far havent faced any skidding issue
Im so fed up with this bike that I may never buy another Honda I have visited the service center 13 times from last september ( more than what i visited for my earlier bike TVS Victor in 5 years !!) and not one issue i reported has been fixed so far. I talked to a few DY owners in service center and 2 of them said they get only 50-55 kmpl and only 1 guy said he gets 60kmpl ( he had completed ~400kms and had come for 1st service, the others had completed 2 services) which seems to be too low for a 110cc bike
I couldgo on and on about the problems i faced with this bike but thats for another timeDo speed breakers break speed or break backs !!!

Re: Honda Dream Yuga
Going to buy a yuga tomorrow for my bro...he has a cbr and needs yuga for mileage no other factors....
But seeing here that yuga is giving only max 50 on avg to all people here....i think my pulsar200ns is far good, which gives me 42kmpl and goes 0-60 in just 3.4 seconds....
Btw,please suggest ia it a good buy...?
