    2. Installed frame sliders from Venom Ancillary. Mr. Ganesh helped procure them from UK and referred to his well-known FNG "Team balance point in Vijayanagara, Bangalore(more on this later). They are heavy and blend into the side profile easily.

    3. Yes, petrol tank needs to come off. This is where Mr. Rafiq, an expert, mechanic, "Doctor"(as many call him), front runner of TBP-workshop in Bengaluru had done a impeccable job fitting them. Side body panel weren't needed to be taken off though.

    4. Another clean, good quality work with installing splash guard(bought from amazon). Feels sturdy and works like a charm. No more red/mud faced people yelling from behind.

So, to answer your question, the first service costed me around rs 5200 which included oil change (the same motul 7100). They do charge hefty labour cost, almost half of the total bill was against labour. I was definitely disappointed with the total bill, given the total service time and effort was minimal (1.5hrs for just oil change, chain lubing, oil filter change, air filter clean etc). To top this list, they charged for routine inspection as well like clutch adjustment, accelerator play adjustment etc which actually required no attention (well, they do require attention, but they could have simply asked me if I'm facing any problem with them. They don't need to charge for that). I don't have the bill with me right now but when you look at it, you got to control your emotions.

Also, in pune, the service centre is in a very congested area. They have just 2 bays so they can handle only 2 bikes at a time. I talked to the manager there who mentioned that they are planning to shift the service centre to some other area in pune (forgot the area name )

      Hope this information helps.

      Happy riding
Oh, that's slightly worrying especially in Pune given that I'm from Pune too and I fell in love with Kawasaki brand when I rode the Ninja 250R back in 2012.
The bank account keeps mocking my dream and salary makes hurting jokes too.
Would love to catch up and see the Ninja in person. [emoji4]

Here it is - LINK Very practical saves a lot of after-math wheel curve cleaning.

        ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Rode a good 1500+ kms with Blr-Hyd and few small trips near Hyd during mid-week. I feel Ninja 300 has set the bar pretty high for its competitors w.r.t Performance, maneuvers, braking and overall stability. Before the ride, I had a air-seat from FEGO installed and fatigue is lessened almost by 50% and air-pressure kept falling and spiking at random on the rear tyre and CULPRIT: A 2-inch long nail(A mechanic near Kurnool fixed it under 3 mins gladly).

Return journey's first leg was with the rains(200kms of pure wet riding), Gear with rain liners held well, but Aspida gloves left a bad dye patch on hands. Ninja 300 sprinted as it was in one of its natural habitats, didn't flinch once either, grabs attention! I stopped by KIA factory in Anantapur and a few koreans/Indian engineers came up asking, discussing about ownership experience here in India.

Overall a great motorcycle, composed PT engine and awesome long distance tourer.

You add 20-25K more and you get a new Ninja which has parts localization so it might avoid the problem where "Indian" parts not able to fit "Jap" thingy.
He did ride extremely less - tonnes of money gathering dust so better convert it into bike(my extremely petrol hungry car has done 1004 kms in less than 2 months).
It is possible to tamper with odo but if the bike has been kept for long, it would have developed cracks on the rubber parts.
The price, on this day, is not justified.

I feel 3.XX Lakh is high for this re-sale offer.

Yet, Have a thorough check for:

                1. Service records( at least 3-4 service visits should have been cleared due to time)
                2. Signs of wear out like rubber as Akash mentioned, Clutch, brake liner cables and rust.
                3. Part replacements list(if involved in any accidents, most owners hide such details during resale)
                4. All other paperwork(warranty, original invoice, RTO vahan cross check etc).
                5. Reasons for such low ODO.
                6. Lastly, take a test-ride in city,highway conditions.

If above lists are cleared and seem good to you. Then price should come into picture say between 2.8-3L, lesser if any of the above list fails.

Like you, I scanned, rode and found great condition preowned ER6N, N650, R3, RC390s and N300s which were offered under 3.5L range here in Hyderabad. As i ran through the list like above and only 2 held up great for the price asked.

4K will probably be taking you to around 70 kmph in 6th gear.
The key is to expose the bike to healthy RPMs without molesting it. You can definitely take it to 5K or some more for short durations.
It's a Kawasaki. They are very very reliable and forgiving bikes.

Doesn't happen after running the motorcycle for a few mins and incase I turn it off near a traffic stop, it fires up in a single crank.
My 300 is at 41,000 kms with the same issue. After reading the posts, have decided to use the fuel system cleaner and check if it helps. Thank you!

                          Hello guys,

I've completed around 5k KMs and now facing this strange issue.
There is a 'chi -chi' (rat like) noise coming from the engine whenever I accelerate (even slightly) however it doesn't happen while decelerating OR while revving in neutral gear.

Not sure what the issue is, planning to visit the SC anytime soon. Has anyone of you faced this issue? Any idea?

Well, to start off, I'd recommend you to check your chain for proper lubrication. If you have a dry chain, you'll hear a chi chi or zing zing kinda sound, get your chain cleaned and lubed and see if it subsides.

                            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                              Hey Mate,

Although I had cleaned up my chain and lubricated it as well just a week ago, but still I tried to redo it last night, and the issue is gone. Thank you sir!!

Wondering why it did not get resolved in the first try itself?!? Maybe because I had applied the lube immediately after applying the cleaner, without waiting for the cleaner to dry up. Lesson Learned...!!!

Lube as it is, can get used up, so it's only time the sound will come back again. Make sure the chain is cleaned every now and then, especially during monsoon. The crud and muck that gets stuck to chain make up for 90% of the unwarranted sounds that a chain makes. Periodic cleaning and lubing helps chain run smoother and helps prolong chain life.

                                Cheers!
