Congratulations... Now since you have bought such an expensive bike please take the trouble of reading the owners's manual from front to back (hint: you will find the run in procedure adequately explained in the 'Break In' section on page 54).Originally posted by abhi19 View PostHello friends. Re: Mod of the Week: Installation of Driven Racing D3 Grips
Nice. They match well with the brake/clutch levers and I'm sure would go with the brake lines as wellOriginally posted by abhimanyu31 View PostThis week's mod was installing Driven Racing D3 Grips: Limited Edition Candy Red.
How's the feel though, compared to stock. I don't know about the 300, but the Ninja 250 stock grips feel pretty much ideal for my riding style. What about you, how is this compared to stock?Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Very comfortable. The grips are gel filled and have just the right amount of firmness.Originally posted by R-series View PostHow's the feel though, compared to stock. first 800km - 4k rpm
800-1600 - 6k rpm
dont ride in the same rpm for long time,
bursting the throttle 2 or 3 times wont be an issue. . . .d biker guy

Re: 2013 kawasaki ninja 300 - rush is addictive
Depends on what you are looking for. Both these bike are designed with 2 different agendas in mind. If you are looking for a bike that will be used for a daily commute and occasional weekend rides then Ninja 300 is the one to go for. If you are looking long weekend rides then the Ninja 650 is unbeatable in that mode. Not that it means that the Ninja 300 cannot be used for long weekend rides or vies versa, its just that these bike have there strong areas where they are excellent while doing the job passably well in the other areas.Originally posted by vipin_lalla View Postconfused to upgrade from karimza r

My advice is that you do not go by figures on paper, go for the bike that fits you well and you enjoy riding the most.Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

Dont sell your KarizmaR. Retain it as a city run about. You cant take your Ninjas for shopping in the city markets with street parking!Originally posted by vipin_lalla View Postconfused to upgrade from karimza r
which one to go for Ninja 300 or 650
Ninja 300: If you are sporty rider who likes to rev the throttle a lot. Recommended if you go to race track.
Ninja 650: If you like low down torque and tour with pillions and luggage. Better if you want a relaxed riding position.Last edited by pitbull; 12-27-2013, 12:10 PM.

Re: 2013 kawasaki ninja 300 - rush is addictive
I've been a passive member of xBHP and kind of feel embarrassing that the my first long post has to be about complaints. But anyways thanks xBHP!
Well, after reading too many horror stories from owners about bikes being stuck in service centers with spares not available, I totally empathize with them now after being part of one ongoing story myself !
2 weeks after I got my brand new Ninja 300 from KTM Marathahalli ( who were pretty amateur themselves with the delivery process ), I had an accident on November 22nd, I think. A two wheeler jumped the signal and hit me from the right on my front wheel. I managed to hold my bike from falling down but the damage was done already. I took the bike to KTM / Kawasaki service center in Indira Nagar the next day, where Mr.Harsha, the service center manager, a friendly guy, got the estimate of the damage done. The front wheel, the disk plate, the T-stand of the fork assembly ( I don't think I got the term right, but it's the one holding the two fork legs, google tells me its called 'triple tree' anyways ) were all approved by my insurance provider. This happened within the first 2 weeks I gave my bike in the service center ( Around 1 December, I guess. )
So Harsha told me he placed and an order for all the parts and was waiting for them to arrive from Pune. I kept following up with him, visiting the service center whenever possible, to take a look at my bike, all stripped now and made to stand naked now. So Christmas comes and Christmas goes. I am on vacation. So I come to my home town. I get a call from KTM/ Kawasaki service station on 26th. Harsha tells me the front wheel assembly has not come yet. All the other parts have come and he wants me to come to the service center. I told him I cant be there before the 2nd and upon further inquiry, find out that the manager of the spare parts section told him the front wheel assembly and the disk plate it not available yet, even in Pune !.
Harsha gave me Mr.Pitambar's number and I talk to him and he directs me to Mr.Chandra Shekhar, the general manager according to Mr.Pithambar. I call him, and he tells me the problem was because they have a shipment of Rs.5 crores from Kawasaki Japan, that's been held up at customs since the shipment had a leather object which did not go well with customs. He told me they are paying 5000 rupees per day for the parked shipment. And he himself tells me that that is not an acceptable reply for me and promises to get back to me after checking the invoice if the parts for my bike too are included in the shipment.
But more than that, I would want to talk to him about the alternatives too. I could not reach him a while back. I sincerely hope this ends soon. I'll update the thread as I get more updates.
Among other things, Harsha wants me to take the bike with the fork part fitted and get the remaining done once the parts arrive. The discussion was hazy and Harsha gave up and asked me to come on 2nd as he wants to talk face to face
And one more thing I wanted to mention was Mr.Chandra Shekhar telling me that even Harley Davidson owners in India face this problem. So I have no idea if he meant that I have to find solace in the fact that I'm not alone
.
Anyways, wanted to pen this down so prospective owners or current ones know about it. I kind of knew of these variables when I decided to buy the bike. I would not get any other bike if I had to do it all over again! I just hope Kawasaki India don't frustrate me enough over the next few weeks that I would have to re-edit my post here to change my opinion!
Happy holidays guys!

I don't like the green. If it was not the white, it would have been the black if were offered over here. In addition to that all my riding gear is blue, red and white which would never go with the green.Originally posted by jack_daniels View Postabhimanyu31 I've been consistently reading dis thread frm the past 2 months & I feel u've done som vry nice mods mate. but, I feel ur bike shud've been green in colour. just a thought !

There are plans for a Factory Effex EV-R graphics kit in black grey colour like the below pic
The bike will then be ceramic coated to lock the graphics in and give a clear coat shine.

So here's an update. I got a text from Mr.Chandrasekar this morning telling me the shipment has reached Bajaj Auto and he was ensuring my consignment would be dispatched early through air and that my bike would be back within 5 days !Originally posted by sandip.nitw View PostI've been a passive member of xBHP and kind of feel embarrassing that the my first long post has to be about complaints.
