So the brake lines have finally been upgraded to Stainless steel braided lines.
Sourced the same from AS3 Performance of UK . Total price inclusive of everything (Price + Courier Charge + Custom + GSTs) was around 9.3k

      Source: https://www.as3performance.co.uk/brake-lines/

I chose them over the EBC ones present in India for a simple feature of having a lock nut that allows for easy installation and avoids having twisted brake lines.

      Changes noticed:
      1. Braking is notably improved.
      2. EBC brakes are now performing as expected with this upgrade.
      3. Wallet is considerably lighter now.

It's a worthy investment if you want to improve the braking performance. Using Liqui Moly DOT 4 - SL6 brake fluid along with it.

Hi Guys, I have been planning to get Ninja 300. Can anybody from NCR share details of good service shops/mechanic apart from Kawasaki outlets.

Also, can I procure regular service parts locally or via any online portal.

Safety doesn't happen by accident.....ride safe ride longer

Hi..I bought Ninja 300 on 02 Nov 17 from Anzen Goa at Vasco. I have 9000 Km on Odo and bike is still in warrenty period of two years. I am facing two issues in my bike.
First Issue -I came to know from open sources that there is wobbling issue with ninja 300 at speeds 60 kmph and below when not holding on to handelbars...i tried it and observed the same in my bike too.
Second Issue- From last three months, my bike is not starting in the first attempt however my battery is fully charged. It has no set pattern for this as sometimes it doesnt start after a long ride of 60 km when its fully warm and sometimes it doesnt start early in the morning when not ridden for a day or two. Sometimes it doesnt start after its kept in the sun for few hours. It does start after two or three attempts though, however the start has become very erratic and unreliable. Bike is in excellent condition and in warrenty period. SVC guys says both the problems are universal in nature for ninja 300 and I have to live with it..This was not expected from the premium bike of this brand. Anyone experiencing similar problem and have some solution.
          Thanks

The front wheel wobble is something that I have seen on videos on Youtube. And replacing the front Tyre fixes this issue.

            Ninja is fuel injected.
I feel that the injectors need cleaning. And this cannot be a universal issue with Ninja 300. Its an international model with no difference in specs or parts. This SVC guys are probably not good and don't know their stuff.

As noted above, changing the tyre will most probably fix the issue. For the starting problem, ensure that your idle speed is set at 1400 rpm. If the idle speed is 1400 rpm and the problem still persists then get the throttle body cleaned and vacuum balanced. Also get the injectors cleaned.

The SVC is full of crap claiming the starting problem is common. My bike has never had the problem, no matter how cold it was.

For Ninja 300's 2nd service, i had given at Kawasaki Bangalore service center. They charged "Chain-lube" but wasn't done, "cotter pin replaced" - but wasn't ( i checked and denied paying for these 2).
Now i am starting to wonder if Air-filters and engine oil were actually replaced or was i being robbed for these and how do i verify the critical components are new? How are the other N300 owners' experiences ?

I am thinking of switching over to X-torque or Highlander(HSR layout) for forth-coming services.

This is one of the reasons why i don't leave my bike at the svc and get out. The mechanics, the manager and the svc don't care about the customer's bikes (not all of them though). Their primary work is to get done with the job-sheet and charge you a bomb for spares and labour and include all the possible stuff in the job-sheet. I have made it a strict point to stay at the svc and get the work done in front of my eyes. That way, i'll have that satisfaction that i have seen the bike get the needful attention until the next service.

I'm no N300 owner but the easiest way to verify if the engine oil is new or not is by the colour and the viscosity. Same with the air filter, check for dust and debris and the filter liner colour.

I've heard good experiences about Highlander from fellow R3 owners. Haven't heard about X-Torque service experience though.

I am not sure if AutoService(Banashankari) are still servicing Kawasaki bikes anymore, haven't seen any Kawa bikes there from last 1-2 years after the split from Bajaj. But it used to be good once upon a time when they were servicing Kawa bikes, can check once. Another option would be Gear Gear Motorcycles(Wilson Garden).

Xtorque are good place just that you need to have a bit patience to wait a bit if there are big superbikes who get preferred first.

P.S. Never leave your 300cc+ bike in the hands of service people and go home. I've always planned and taken leave for 1 Day and stayed with the bike during service. Afterall for a bike that serves us 365 days, taking 1 day off to pamper the bike should not be that difficult.

You can go to official service center itself, just make sure you call them in advance and inform or tell them you'll be staying there itself till it's done.

                      Will make a note. TY

I haven't had trust issues at Harley Davidson Service, while the MC was kept alongside they were prompt to notify changes, even a small scratch. Same day here at Kawasaki, a Ninja ZX6R owner was seen shouting as if he was red-lining himself and i was jolly-wondering what could have made him shout. Lesson learnt.

Called up Highlander for a visit coming weekend, Will have a cross check of Air-filter and E-oil. If i find them rut, Jai Twitter !

If you're going to Highlander for service, call up the place and ask them to source the required parts and give them a head time of 2-3 days for sourcing them.
Also, meet Karthik from Highlander. He has got very good reviews from fellow R3 owners who have visited him. Does a tidy job as per them

The key is to expose the bike to healthy RPMs without molesting it. You can definitely take it to 5K or some more for short durations.
It's a Kawasaki. They are very very reliable and forgiving bikes.
I think you are babying it, this is a twin not a splendor so ride it hard, take it up to to 10k also but don't keep it there. I took my Nina to red line in the first 100kms itself, it runs super smooth even now.

Visited Highlander, HSR layout and came out happier than i do at Kawasaki Service. They treat people and their MCs really well. Spoke to Manjunath for an appointment and things went smooth from there on. Mainly to confirm if Kawasaki replaced air-filter,E-oil or had given a 'chombu'.

Kumar was the man for the job, quick, prompt and ended with a test ride by Karthik. Got a new splash-guard fitted(Old one recently went kaput over a water-filled ditch), replaced frame sliders' ext. bolts as Vemon had shipped rusted ones. The frame attached bolts for FS are also rusted will have to give Highlander exact bolt spec, for them to replace or order.

Overall, Great work, timing and is recommended for almost all MCs.

                            • Tyres for N300

                              Hi Guys,

Looking to change the rubber on my N300 as the stock IRC has run for almost 15k and also since I have been able to save up for the changes now

Searching for the Metz Sportec M5, which was suggested by many of the experienced riders here. But in bangalore, I haven't been able to find any places that stock Metz in the required size for the rear which is 140/70/17. The available size seems to be 150/60/17 and that too only at a couple of places.

Any leads on this would be really helpful.

Highlander in HSR has the Diablo Rosso IIs from Pirelli in the exact size and I'm thinking of going with this now if unable to find the Metz. Feedback from anyone who's already used/ currently using this would also help.

                              Thanks

Buy it and be done with it. Do not ride around with a worn out tyre. It’s not just about the depth of the thread; rubber and carcass hardening and micro cracks forming is a more serious issue than most people realise. Ultimately, it affects the structural integrity of the tyre. In extreme cases, tyres are known to burst (more like a explosion), and if that happens at high speeds you will have no place to go but down.
