It sounded exactly same as the new Duke exhaust sound when he was pulling it on the highway. You can have a look to get an idea how it might look.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
Yes, it has been done successfully. It is possible, sadly I don't have the further details on the parts and procedure if its a direct fit or needs some mods to the stock(new) exhaust. The owner whom I knew has sold the bike as now, I had met him only once during a ride and this image is from what was shared on the ride group.Originally posted by joelgreen View Post

I am located way North so can't help with your query. Got my rear Michelin for 5k, the front when I inquired last week was close to 4 I think.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
Thanks, bud! That looks sweet! I'll have to check if it risks my saddlebags because the saddle stays on my Duke are placed a little further behind as compared to the pillion seat. This is my touring setup (in the pic below). Hoping to make it better with time, let's hope for the best. I've got a good deal of time before I get that done so will figure it out beforehand!Originally posted by kiran2508 View PostYes, it has been done successfully. You can visit Cherry Tyre Agency, you have to take a right after Helmet Paradise and 1km straight from there https://goo.gl/maps/3rApQxY48NH2 , Michelin for the back should be around 6.5 to 7K quoted, if you bargain hard or buying both front and back you should be able to get it at 6K.Originally posted by bikersdream View PostAny recommended shop at Bangalore ? for Michelin
Instead I suggest you get it from Aamzon.in https://amzn.to/2P8NMaK, it's currently on sale for Rs.6208, and there is 10% instant HDFC bank discount and another 10% cashback as pay balance, so effective price coming to Rs.4996!!!! The deal is so sweet that even though my tyre will last for another 10K+ kms, I'm getting so tempted to order one right away and keep a stock at such sweet price

Also, since the seller being Cloudtail India who are official Amazon sellers and not any 3rd party seller, so you don't have to worry about manufacturing year and month or old stock things like that.Originally posted by bikersdream View PostOnline purchase is cost effective. Good suggestion.
I have ordered couple of tyres from Amazon and always paid nearly Rs.300-400 less than actual market price and they get delivered in a separate Tata Ace truck here in Bengaluru.
Just buy a new set of valves as they don't come with one from Amazon, you might have got the valves for free if you had purchased it from local shop.Bajaj SuperFE 150 - Forever in my heart

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
I am struggling with my 25,500kms 5 year old D390's front brake. Lever travel has increased considerably and the brakes feel spongy. Master cylinder was replaced at Banaswadi KTM but its back to square one within few days.
When I google, I see lot of people having the same issue. Brake fluid replacement is often suggested. I just want to know how many of you have been able to successfully resolve spongy brake issue?
I have one eye on the Interceptor and if this issue does not have solution I am inclined to live with it for a few months before I exchange it for Interceptor.A lone amateur built the ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic...

Don't give up on 'er yet. You can try the newer 2017's master cylinder coupled with the SS brake pads that should work well. Is it spongy, yes, they are spongy for the most part. Do we have to live with it, yes. This is considering a thorough bleed of the older fluid and air from the system. A system will feel spongy if the brakes are not bled and air inside irrespective of replacing the master cylinder or brake pads.Originally posted by NitinGirish View PostI am struggling with my 25,500kms 5 year old D390's front brake. Absolutely normal. When you press engage and disengage the clutch when idling, the engine sound ever so mildly differs, again completely normal. As long as you don't hear any shrieks, shrills and high pitched sounds sound when engaging and disengaging, the sound you're experiencing is perfectly fine.Originally posted by joelgreen View PostHi folks,
Can anyone tell me if it is normal on an idling engine, for the engine sound to change a bit as the clutch is pulled in or
released? Am talking about the sound from the engine and not the exhaust. I generally notice this when the engine is warm. Maybe my ignorance when I just start, wait for 30 seconds and push off, but when I'm parking the bike on an idle engine is when I nearly always notice this.
The last time I experienced something like this on my CBR 150R, it was about the shaft bearings of the engine that cost me nearly 15k to replace.
Help, anyone?! Really concerned here!
Cheers!

No sharp sounds at all. It's a very light 'jug-jug' (somewhat pronounced like the English word) like sound that makes itself heard exactly in sync with the engine sounds when the clutch is released and vanishes when the clutch is pulled in.
I'm just being over-conservative since I have just 5 months of warranty left. I want to get rid of any potential issues with the engine that might get worse with time and land me up into expenses later on. I ride my Duke very less, its done just about 9.5k kilometers since I bought it in April, 2017. So there is a high chance that any minor niggle here and there might go unnoticed for quite a while. Maybe I'm just being paranoid because of my bad experience with acquiring a second-hand CBR 150R, but well, better safe than sorry, what else? Thanks a lot though! Greetings of the season to all!

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
Get in touch with seller first to make sure its not old stock. Tyres age with time and the rubber won't be as good as new after a year or two. Infact, 2 year old tyre will be cheaper in the market as well.Originally posted by kiran2508 View PostYou can visit Cherry Tyre Agency, you have to take a right after Helmet Paradise and 1km straight from there https://goo.gl/maps/3rApQxY48NH2 , Michelin for the back should be around 6.5 to 7K quoted, if you bargain hard or buying both front and back you should be able to get it at 6K.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
Michelin 150/60 tyres are all imported from Thailand "On demand" basis, do you really logically think someone would be still out there selling having a 2year old stock of Michelin Pilot Street going by so many bike owners of KTM200/250/390/RC200/RC390/Dominar/Mojo who all are changing to this specific tyre? Even a year back the demand went up with prices of these tyres even reaching Rs.7500 because everywhere it was mostly "Out of Stock".Originally posted by gharika View PostGet in touch with seller first to make sure its not old stock. Buying a tyre which manufacturing date anything upto 6-8 months is OK. Even with exceptions upto 1year is fine if they are stored under a closed room temperature and not stored under direct sunlight like normal automobile shop who keep it outside their shops.Bajaj SuperFE 150 - Forever in my heart

Yes, I do think so. A year older tyre was available to me for 500 less. no harm in being doubly cautious, assumption are bad when shopping online. whats the harm in getting a confirmation from the seller?Originally posted by kiran2508 View PostMichelin 150/60 tyres are all imported from Thailand "On demand" basis, do you really logically think someone would be still out there selling having a 2year old stock of Michelin Pilot Street going by so many bike owners of KTM200/250/390/RC200/RC390/Dominar/Mojo who all are changing to this specific tyre?
