In the picture marked L or the 8th bar, the fan would "turn on" for approximately 10 to 15 seconds and then turn off by itself, and then intervenes if necessary, depending especially if the vehicle is stationary or when ridden in bumper to bumper traffic. The fan "will" switch on once the temperature bar reaches the 8th bar. If it's constantly running without turning off by itself or it's turned off via the ignition key each time, then we have trouble.Originally posted by ThePossum View PostYes. I'd suggest you recheck the working of your radiator fan once again, i.e. the switching on and off the fan and keep your observations posted. Let us know if it switches off by itself, by waiting for approximately 15 to 20 seconds.

normally if the temp isn't going beyond the F as marked in my pic, then it means the fan is doing its work keeping the temp under control. but again the fan should usually go off after around 45 seconds, but again that depends on the temperature around. so do get the checks done at the svc using their diag tool to see if indeed the fan comes on and goes off at the correct temperatures.Originally posted by ThePossum View PostYes. Guys, I've recently installed Apollo Alpha H1 tyres.
I find them grippy and reliable, and even while they're new, I'm not getting the "tall boat" kind of effect...
Handling is awesome! Makes you want to lean in. Not leaned much though till now.
Front 110/70x17R was Rs. 4250.
Rear 150/60x17R was Rs. 5250.
I think total Rs. 9500 is awesome pricing, for tyres this good!
Before this, I also checked MRF Zapper 110/70 and 150/60 and rejected it.
I would advise anyone who leans anymore than 10* to stay clear from these tyres. Don't even try, I hope I'm clear!!
Both these Apollo's are soft compound Street tyres, with at least good wet grip and, with longer expected life than Metzelers.
I've had Michelin Tyres before this, which were a good balance between grip and tyre life.

Samarth, welcome back. Though the price seems to be an excellent proposition and on par with the MPSRs. I'd love to know your "post usage review", w.r.t to wet grip vis-a-vis the MPSRs. The Metz does lose its grip of gravelled patch in wet conditions, many a times have had this heart in the mouth in wet. Seems, metz does love a clean tarmac as opposed a mildly graveled road. So far, in the rains, I've not found wet grip to be a worry, even while leaning a bit. I find them confidence inspiring.
Michelins didn't inspire so much confidence. But of course, these are new. Need more time to comment anything concrete.
I haven't tried on cemented roads or gravel, so will do it when I get the chance to do so. Of course, every new tyre has a layer of higher grip rubber, so only time will tell what these can do...
But from initial observation, I find them in a league above the common MRF's and all.....---

I second that. Even a bit of gravel, Metz looses it grip. Had pretty bad experience with it. My rear tyre lasted 15000Kms and changed to Michelin which is good for city and highway runs. Michelin seems to hold the air better as well. Even after 2 weeks, just 1-2 psi drop in air pressure. My bike has run 17.1K Kms now, still runs on factory sprocket and chain. I clean, lube and check the slack every 600-700Kms. Usually, how long does the sprockets last?Live to Ride!

2.yes 110/70/17 and 150/60/17 as stock.
3.riding is smooth,since it's new tyre I can't say about that confidently but it's flickabl and yet strong,grip is very good as compared to stock.
4.our roads in j&k are not good, i got a lot of punctures ,had to ride for many kms off road so I choose a dual sport to avoid any inconvenience as i faced...I had options of timsun ,metz Torrance but perilli was affordable with a lot of ROI than other tyre brands.
the threads are good .
also on offroading it's so good and holds good grip.
