Anyways I'll be overhauling it at 25k kms so not going to bother getting it fixed until then.

Changed spark plugs, the stock ones were Bosch UR4AC, but the ones I got now from SVC are Mico UR3AC. Anyways here's a snap of both the SP's.

During my last post, I thought of sharing my experience about this bike. But I couldn't spare enough time to write. Anyways i will write soon.

The recommended quantity of fork oil is 140ml, and that bajaj fork oil is decent one. Now, what about this leak?

Both spark plugs show different character, one looks lean and other rich, is it not surprising? I think there may be some problem with this right-side one or with connection. Your new spark plugs are 1step colder in rating. Do you notice any difference?

This pic was taken some 2 months back at 14-14.5K kms. Its perfect.

Lol, no wonder its leaking, the Bajaj oil came in 160ish ml bottles so emptied them into the suspension, hence the leak maybe. anyways only one is leaking as of now, I'm hoping the leak would stop by the time the excess 20'ish ml seeps out.

And regarding the SP, I got the colder ones from SVC itself, I asked them again and they ensured that it was the one.(To be frank the SVC outlet I go to is some 20ish kms from my place and the front desk girl is technically incompetent but I have a serious crush on her hence why I keep going there repeatedly )

Since I ride long distance, I guess its safe to assume that it would do me good. Anyways lets see.

BTW here's the pic of the SP box.

        Re: Discover 100 DTSi

Back after a long time! Here are the updates.

        The Front forks.

The fork was leaking profusely and I decided to get the seals replaced at SVC(Same one with the cute front desk girl!) thats when the mechanic confirmed that it was 140ML, they only had the oil seal in stock and I decided to go for a change, after changing I paid the bill of 300/- and went home, but enroute i noticed that both the forks were leaking! So I had to ride back, on inspection they said its because both the forks had glaze marks which they showed me, by now I was loosing my patience, so I asked them to replace the seals once more and fill in 130ml, which they did and I also asked them to add fork boots from the old Pulsars(So next time it leaks I wouldnt see it and it would help reduce my misery to an extent) which they did as well, paid a total bill of 600/- and thats when I got the distinct feeling in my lower abdomen which reminded me why I hated SVC's in the first place, guess I would need to source the long tool for disassembling the forks to do a complete DIY.

        The Ride's

The next day morning went on a ride with Kerala xBhpians and cleared some 500kms and everything was fine, except for the fact that I kept slowing down the whole group due to inability to keep high speeds and due to my poor eye sight at night.

After the ride I changed to Shell Rimula RX4(The oil I've been having wet dreams about!) and a day after that I decided to set on my return ride to Bangalore, everything was fine and I reached Salem before schedule as I had skipped my breakfast break, everything was fine and the bike was performing well, the oil did a handsome job and I must say it a true bang for the buck, credits go to @psr sir for recommending it during my ZMA days. At Salem I had to wait for a couple of hours for my friend to catch up on his Aviator, as we had taken different routes to Salem. After my friend reached we had lunch(it was brunch for me ) and it was already getting late so we hurried on towards Bangalore, everything was fine until there was just barely 40kms to our destination, and from there all hell broke loose.

        The Accident's

It started to rain heavily and the crosswinds were also scary, we stopped at a fuel bunk for taking a break and there was a Bullet rider(Ananth) along with his lover returning from a trip to Munnar. The rains were getting stronger and it was almost impossible to ride or drive, many cars also decided to stop at that bunk, we thought we would wait till it stopped raining or at least till the pour would reduce, but then there was a lightning which struck the bunker and one of the lamps went out and sparks were flying everywhere, we shouted out to the attendants to turn it off, but they started arguing amongst themselves, so I asked my co-rider and he was willing to leave the place immediately, I signaled the Bullet couple and they agreed as well. So we left the bunk, but soon after maybe some 10kms or so ahead I met with an accident, there was thing divider which was half demolished and I couldnt spot it in time, I ran straight into it and fell down, the Bulleteer immediately came to help me up and we were on our way, a little later we were faced with another major issue, on the side of one of the flyovers which were under construction, the water had collected and it looked like a small pond, the Bulleteer decided to be brave and went ahead, I followed him, long story in short, every bike and car which crossed that section got hyrdro locked as the water level was way too high, in my D100, it came a little above the meter console.
Fast forwarding to the end of the hassle, I fixed my bike using the tool kit provided with the bike and also helped fix a few other bikes, but unfortunately the Bullet couldnt be brought back to life, because we didnt have the spark plug removal tool and when we decided to drain the carb, the drain bolt deformed like butter!. In the end we decided to give them a lift, the Bulleteer on my ride and his lover on my friends Aviator, after dropping them me and my co-rider decided to have some food from Dhaba, inspite of the bad luck we had, and thats when we met with another accident, since the water lever was high we failed to notice the concrete pavement which was at a considerable height from the tarmac and we both fell at the exact same time, since mine was a bike my knee got in between the concrete wedge and the bike and got tweaked pretty bad, now fast forwarding to the end, we reached our hostel, completely drenched and injured, both bike and rider.

        The After Effects

I had ligament injury and had to use a knee brace for a long time, my co-rider was fine except for an eye infection which acted up recently. As for the rides, the Aviator had some deep cratch marks on the front body, and my D100 had a bent foot rest, misaligned clutch set, loosened lower T(the bolts were half out), busted pilots, indicators with water inside and finally the oil had also got emulsified due to the water which had gotten inside the engine.

After a trip back home(via Bus) I sourced the necessary parts, and did the maintenance part.

Changed oil to Gulf Pride 4T Plus 20W40, changed the AF which was still socked and this was after a couple of weeks, changed the foot rest and tightened all the loose bolts and aligned the clutch set properly, the bike was brought back to normal, or atleast to an extent.

        The Ride After

After getting the bike fixed I wanted to test it, so went to Nandi Hills and covered a total of 216kms.

Currently the bike is idle and I wont be using it for a long time due to certain health conditions, but the moment I recover I plan to do a ride to Hampi, because there was this lecture in my previous college and he once invited all the girls to a trip to Humpy, and ignored the boys, which made me feel sad at that time, so this was my way of giving him the finger.

That would be a really hard to answer question as I dont keep a regular check on the mileage, but just to be on the safe side, rest assured that no matter how hard you ride, the mileage wont go below 50 kmpl, or atleast I hope so, bikers who have put some considerable kms on the road usually wont bother with the mileage figures because there are a variety of factors to be considered and as long as you're knowledgeable enough to take care of the basic maintenance's the bike would return a considerably good mileage per liter.

Now from experience, I've done 750kms with 650/- fuel and the same with 1100/- fuel on two different occasions, in the first instance I was riding at 55~60kmph, in the second, lets just say I was in a bit of a hurry.

You can buy Castrol Power1 Racing 10w50. Costs around Rs.700. Its my favourite on this bike. Using it for past 3700kms, don't feel like draining till now. I had used it in past also for 5000kms.
I would say its a true synthetic oil.

Its not worth. I had tried this before, the oil feels harsh after 100kms.

I had tried this one (15w40)

I am not sure if the contents are changed.

I will suggest you to go for good quality 20w40 oil from shell, motul or castrol.
Semi-synthetics like Power1 don't give much benefits, its just a taste and feel of synthetics.
Experiences may vary from user to user because of several other factors. You can try and share your experience.
Just make sure you buy from a trusted dealer. Castrol has fakes too.
