Btw I never had problems with Yamalube Sporty Premium engine oil, just didn't liked its viscosity than other 10w40 oils. Is good for normal commuting but don't worked well for me in heavy traffic and hot weather of Gujarat.

Regarding noise I agree with you, it won't go away, I myself use 10w50 (Elf Moto 4 Tech & Castrol Power1 Racing) grade to reduce noise. Current odo is almost 10k kms. SVC used to either adjust tappet or would give excuses like noise & engine heating will there because of their aluminuim engine parts.
Even the Version 3 also has this noise issue.
Its purely the design fault from the yamaha.
How is the performance with the castrol power 1 racing??

nothing worse bro.. everyone here has some issue or the other in their fz.. and most of those issues are due to the shitty oil yamaha is using.. when the engine is cool.. it is smooth.. with less vibes.. better gear shifts.. quick self starts

if it weren't for the warranty.. i would've switched to Motul by now.. hell i would've given up on the warranty if i were confident enough on yamaha

i have tried both the mineral and synthetic oil from yamaha and both are equally worse.. the synthetic oil was doing okay till like 500kms when I did a stressful ride with a pillion of around 70kms.. and since then it has lost its viscosity permanently..

As per my experience the oil is performing good than the shitty yamalube sporty oil which is meant for the R15.
The gear shifts are smooth & there is no sign of heating even after the ride in the heavy traffic conditions or after a long ride on highways.
Checked the oil level yesterday its just fine and can easily lasts for other 1500 kms for sure.
Regarding the engine noise as i said in my previous posts there is no solution with this oil the noise is just reduced a bit thats it, There is no major difference.
Whats your bike odo? And do you also face noise from the engine? What did the yama svc people told regarding the noise?
Next oil change will be with the motul 7100.

Btw how's your's Yamaha after-sales service, here Yamaha Service station has stopped owners to look at their motorcycles while they're serving plus regarding quality of parts, they have degraded. I have changed headlight bolts twice. (Yamaha service guys claim they changed because of vibrations in headlight assembly).

Check old post, if you're fitting 140/70 section tyre with hugger then there would be no gap. If you want then change that hugger with long rear fender or short one.

Does your rear wheel lock up (considering that you have new brake shoes) when applying the rear brake? If so, the brake drum liner may be worn out.
