Something specific for the model please, like the fact that the chain is covered so if oiling is necessary and stuff. And what shampoo / wax and stuff... Thanks

Getting confused on just how to wash vehicle, lots of different shampoos are available in the market for washing vehicles, from the likes of waxpol to collinite, choose any of them, for waxing purpose you can go for ultraglow from waxpol, and yes you have to oil the chain periodically, just check your bike owner manual and see the periodic oiling period of the chain most of the covered chains requiers oiling every 1000kms, if chain gets very dirty, remove the chain from bike submerge it in kerosene for 10min, clean it and then again clean it with fresh kerosene wipe the chain with clean cloth and hang the chain for 1/2 hour so that extra kerosene is dripped out, take EP 40 gear oil in a pan and dip the chain in the oil for about 20 minutes, take out the chain gently wipe the extra oil again hang the chain for 1/2 hour, and your chain is again good for another 4000kms.

That's a lot of work, but you forgot an important step. You need to fit the chain back on the motorcycle to use it for another 4000kms. Lol! just kidding...

@Exattic: Just spray wd40 and leave it for an hour, and then spray chain lube like Motul or TVS and it'll be good to use for at least 500kms. Keep doing this and it should last for 25,000 kms. Mine lasted for 42,000 kms on my unicorn till I decided to change it.

I don't think so. The electrical could be different in both bikes. Experts can tell more info about this.

No offense but shouldn't be. Unicorn has an engine that's kind of a legend! Wish both the bikes are big success stories for Bajaj but personally I think the 150F or 150S can't be compared to the Unicorn engine.

No way bajaj has to still learn the art of making noiseless and smooth engines, which is cakewalk for Honda.

                    That's the usual perception no?

To shatter myths, ride the Shine or the CBF Stunner at around 60 KMPH..

you may call it perception i call if fact, shine or stunner sounds a little coarse at higher rpms but that's because the engine is tuned for city riding and mileage.

But then aren't Shine and Stunner are 125cc bikes? Instead of 60, I have ridden them both @ 40 and felt very smooth. Not sure if its only me, but I always feel, Indian bikes are not that smooth compared to their Japanese counterparts. But improvement can always happen.

Yes that's a fact. In fact it not just sounds coarse but vibrates at that particular point as well.

the 110 cc Twister/Dream Yuga/Neo/CD110 engine is tuned for fuel efficiency as well, but that particular engine is smooth all through the rev range, unlike the Shine / Stunner engine.

True both of them are 125cc only the latter one is having 5th cog, even the now discontinued discover 125st vibrates after 60km/h and that too when the bike is having 4 valves.

One can't say that every engine in shine and stunner vibrates, i have ridden 8 yrs old shine and the bike was quite good till 75km/h the engine sound was no where rough, and the owner who owns this bike is getting 55km/l mileage.

Its not just about 4 valves but combination of all things.

The new Discover 150 is being reported to be quite smooth.. will have to ride to check that out.
