Could you be a bit more specific on the explanation please. By top bar you mean to say all 8 comes up and one or two bars doesn't come on? Or just the lower two is full and the second 6 bars don't light up. Either way we might have a problem with the float. If you fill your tank to brim and yet still the six bars don't light up, we have a faulty fuel float. Floats can only be replaced if need be and can't be serviced for the most part.

On the Duke, we have fuel pump and float integrated into single unit. I'd suggest you remove the pump, adjust the float and check if it solves the issue. If it doesn't, then we have to replace the float which would mean the entire fuel pump. The float cannot be changed as a separate part, IIRC.

    Keep your observations posted.

Out of the 8 bars, only 7 bars are showing. The topmost bar is not being lit up even after filling to the brim. I will spray some contact cleaner (CRC Spray?) to see what happens.
Recently on a 200 km ride, I filled High Speed petrol and the bike performed butter smooth. Can anyone tell me the octane rating for High Speed? It was selling for 76 per litre.
Really sad we don't have access to Shell petrol in Kolkata.

Speed comes in 93 and 97 RON as the normal fuel we get is RON 91. You probably might have used the 93 RON hence the improvement. Contact cleaners are a good way to clean PCBs and switches. I'd suggest you remove the pump unit, if possible connect the fuel pump connectors to the bike and check the console by moving the float. The mechanic can check this way to find out if the float is faulty. What they do is, they pull the float all the way UP and check the console, the console should read full, if it doesn't then we have no go other than to replace the sender unit.

Try cleaning and adjusting the float in tandem with the above procedure. Keep your observations posted.

        Hope it helps!

        Cheers!

what do you mean high speed pertol ?
all regular fuel sold in india is 91 octane (some pumps might have upto 10% ethanol added to it)
now coming to the 'speed' 'xtrapremium' stuff...
if it simply said 'speed' (from BP) or 'xtrapremium' (IOC), then it is the same 91 octane fuel but with some additives, and costs around Rs.2-3 over regular fuel. this is what you most likely filled up.

higher octane fuel will be specifically labeled e.g. Speed 97 and usually has a different color.. iirc orange for regular 91 octance fuel and Red for the higher octane fuel. these aren't very easily available in most places.

Coming to the fuel gauge readings.. even with 1 litre less than a tank full you should be seeing all the bars light up. Here is a clear video showing you what I had explained.. clean the contacts and give it a try. I've seen them at the svc fix a similar issue on a friends without having to replace the pump.

Thanks for the awesome video link. Really helped me understand the process.
Regarding the fuel, there were 3 types available: Normal, Speed and Hi Speed. Hi Speed was worth 76 per litre.

from what i know, 'hi speed' is the diesel equivalent of 'speed' petrol from bharat petroleum. again petrol prices vary place to place so i have no clue what you got.. if it was 2-3rs more than regular fuel, then it is the 91 octane + additive based.. because higher octane fuels are much more expensive.
as for the difference you felt, it might or might not have been due to the fuel.. difficult to say unless you repeat using the fuel and consistently compare it with from another petrol pump. as i said some pumps also get E10 blend (i.e. 10% ethanol) and it is not necessarily always e10. sometimes e10 sometimes straight 'petrol' because supply of ethanol from cane processing plants isn't streamlined and available at all places all the time.
so you see.. too many factors in play here.

i prefer to fill up the regular fuel and add the additive myself (i don't trust the pumps.. they could very well sell regular fuel labeled as speed).. and my choice of additive is iftex system-g or adon p (i use these every other time i fill up)

The NS 200 has its fuel gauge and pump separately, here in Duke, we have them integrated as one unit. So, one pain point is, floats cannot be independently removed for servicing.

                Hope this helps

The contact points can and will oxidize over time, as fuel can react with air inside the tank and cause a improper contacts which can result in this, as I reiterated earlier. You can also try this method provided in the video before opening it up bit by bit. Keep your observations posted.

                Cheers!

So sorry to hear what happened. There are idiots everywhere.
Technically, it shouldn't harm the chassis if the bike fell on a flat surface. The fairings are built in such a way that it can withstand impact to some extent.

You can still live with the scratches. No worries. Or better off replace the fairings if you do not like scratches on them. But yeah, if you're going ahead and replacing the fairings, before fitting the new fairings, make sure and have a look-out on the chassis for any cracks/deep marks/undulations because of the fall. Just to be on a safer side.

Minor falls won't impact the chassis as such. What you have to worry is are the panels themselves haven't cracked and or the mount points broken. If the bike's okay on these aspects, you're all good to go. Decals can be redone at any stickering shop, they have the right paraphernalia to take care of the stickering job. One thing to take note is to make sure no bubbles are present while sticking the sticker.
