it should be fine for 2yrs / 25k km. replace it yearly if you want to be over cautious.
i am still running the stock coolant on my d200, and its almost 2yrs AND 25k km now
I'll be changing it later this week in my upcoming scheduled service.. and am switching to motul motocool expert (i got it for a low price on amazon deal)

      Hey guys,
      It's been 25 days since I got my 2016 KTM RC 390.
I had not used my bike for 1 day, and when I started it today I noticed bit of white smoke coming out and it disappears later, and the engine warmed up pretty quickly compared to what I had experienced before.
Can anyone please tell if this is normal or not?
      Thank you.

Just curious, but why did you feel it's not worth waiting for the new line of Duke/RC which will come in just couple of months from now?

As far as the new series goes, the DUke will start selling maybe mid 2017 and there no new RC in the pipeline.

Nothing to worry about. Probably just a bit of oil burning off from the piston rings or from the exhaust etc.
As long as the smoke disappears fairly quickly don't worry.

I had my bike serviced a week back(3rd serivicing). Oil was changed and the bike has become butter smooth now. Also the clutch feels just as soft as a slipper clutch.. I don't know why and how but it's good for me.
The issue is that I noticed an oil leak near the engine casing today morning, I'm not using the bike daily because of rains and stuff. What might be the reason?

Also wanted to know if 2016 slipper clutch rc 390s are detuned or have different power delivery? Feels way slower...

Small oil leaking is ok. I have it even after changing gasket.
Wash the bike, wipe the oil then drive for 5-10kms and check for oil leaking. If its more get it fixed under warranty

It should not affect economy much if you have changed only exhaust.
I am getting 160-190kms range or 22-25 kmpl with tank to tank method for mixed driving.

                    How much you are getting?

Yup I've installed only the exhaust.
Not measures exactly but the reserve warning kicks in at 130-140kms after a full tank.
And sometimes fuel meter goes directly to reserve from 2 bars above the reserve line.
Ps - i ride with both baffles out.

At 'reserve' it holds approx 2~2.5L of fuel..
If you want a more accurate FE reading, then ditch the fuel gauge reading and do this:
                        1. Fill up tank to brim (reset trip to 0)
                        2. Ride for around 150km, maybe over a couple of days.
                        3. Fill up again to the brim - note the trip reading.
Your FE will be (trip meter reading at step3) divided by (amount of fuel that goes in at step 3)

The 390's are known to go as low as 18kmpl in city traffic conditions to as high as 30kmpl on highway rides. It all depends on how the bike is ridden.
Riding it calmly with a bit of spirited riding at times, you should get around 24kmpl in city conditions with little traffic. Throw in bumper to bumper stop-go situations (or constant ripping) and it will drop to 20 and below.
Just the ixil end can shouldn't be affecting economy much.

I'll post a pic soon.. The oil leak is from near the engine casing not a weep from the head. I'm having second thoughts about visiting that svc again..

Do post a pic of the location of the leak. Do you see oil dripping down on to the floor?
And remember to replace the oil filter housing 'o' ring at every service.

They replaced o ring, oil filter and also put new oil.. And yes oil drips down on the floor

is it leaking from the oil filter housing cap? the other source is probably the crank case, where a gasket (or o ring) replacement is the solution.
in some cases the chain lube (especially when lubed with engine oil) drips down creating an impression that oil is leaking from engine.
and as someone mentioned earlier, wipe it and keep an eye.
                                a pic please..
