Check if there are any plastic tabs/notches which are at the sides of the visor, they have indents with which they are flush locked to the body panels.

      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

      THE END

There are 2 screws on either side behind the fairing. Did you remove those?
Note : You can't reach the two screws with the fairing on.

No there is no hidden screw and it's very easy.
          I've opened it many times.

          2 for each mirror : total 4

          And see pic :

You'll have to open number 1 completely.
Number 2 is for Side fairing, remove this also completely.
Now you can see number 3 a bit hidden under fairing edge. Take some extra care while unscrewing number 3. You might end of cracking the side fairing (if applied extra pressure) or some other harm.
Also, fixing number 3 is kind of pain in ass sometimes.

I have my force toolkit and that helped me to open and reassemble it every time without any problem.

          Total screws :

          4 for mirror
3 for right side and 3 for left side.

Just booked my RC390 from Noida Sec 18 showroom. Any feedback from NCR guys about experience with their service ? Also is the road assistance program any good? I was told it's for 1850 per annum

Just a couple of questions for accessories
              - I want to have frame sliders/ crash protectors fitted- Please suggest some good options (links if online)
              - What mobile stand/holder are you guys using for the rc390?

              Thanks.

Btw road side assistance is for 800 bucks not 1850. It is called orange assist.

It is under the fuel tank. You will have to take it off.

There is only one spark plug, and it's located on the cylinder head which in turn falls right under the petrol tank.
the plug is not exposed outside like most other bikes (e.g. pulsar, splendor etc..) but is 'buried' inside and you will require a long plug spanner than can reach in. you can see the spark plug wire/boot on the top of the head. remove the boot(also called spark plug cap) and use the long plug spanner to reach in and get the plug.
here is a video of replacing a plug on the duke (not necessary to remove tank, rc might need tank removal)

Thanks a ton. I asked simply out of curiosity. Any service interval required for replacement/cleaning of the plug? Which brand is the stock one?

                        Hello everyone.
I want to know which brake fluid does the company uses in our bikes? In the Manual of Europe, it's written 'Castrol response super brake fluid DOT 4'. Which one does the company use in India and it will be great if you can share the link if it's available online.
                        Thanking you

Successfully conquered Highest motorable rode in the world.
                          Total distance covered- 6100km
                          Pune-Manali-Ladakh-Srinagar-Pune
Rideonair seat cushion and lumbar support belt saved me a lot. I would recommend to use one if you are planning to do touring in RC.
Problems faced - 1.Radiator fan didn't kick in properly on the way from Manali to Leh which ended up over heating my engine and also coolant was coming out through the pipe every time when the engine heats up.So I have to change it on my way back at KTM Jammu.(This is my 3rd radiator fan)
2.Just 350kms before from Pune some strange sound started coming from my engine.Managed to reach starting point at 70kmph (ODO reading-29600km and pucrchase date is April 2015) Hope it covers under warranty.

                            Please read the owners manual.
Ktm suggests a service interval of 7500km for the RC's. They only recommend a change of plug and all 3 filters every service. The plug though is 'optional' i.e. replace if needed. It really doesn't require any cleaning under normal conditions. Most of the plugs i've seen from normal running bikes have a clean light coffee brown tip (since its fi and the afr ratio is maintained more accurately)
The plug will easily last at least 10k - 15k km , so I'd say replace it as needed. Most people do not do 7500km in 4 months(i.e. service interval), so use your discretion and the service recommendation as a guideline and replace the plug. Also remember to replace the plug before it goes bad.. plug replacements should be a preventive maintenance rather than replacing them when they fail.
I have mine replaced every other service (considering mine is a duke with 5000km service interval), which is approx 10k km interval for my kind of usage. I take back the plug and keep it as a spare (one under the seat and one is my spares kit that I carry when touring)
The stock plug is a Bosch VR5 NEU (late 2014 onwards) earlier ones were VR5NE , the difference being an increased gap on the newer ones (1mm vs 0.8mm). Last time i checked my svc still had both the old and new ones but some just go ahead and use the new one on the old dukes also. IIRC the new one has a blue ring while the old had a green ring (or was it the other way around )

As for the guy who asked about the brake fluid... the fluid used by the ktm svc's here is a DOT4 grade one made by HP, yeh Hindustan Petroleum.. it comes in a bottle with the bajaj logo on it.

You can use any dot4 brake fluid.. some available brands are TVS , castrol, Bosch. There is really nothing like car and bike brake fluid. Get hold of any Dot 4 and you are good to go. But remember to completely bleed the old fluid during replacement. I personally wouldn't prefer mixing different brands even if they are same grade.

                              Damn! Good one bro!

Could you please post pic and link for seat and importantly for the belt your talking about.
I've already done big kilometres on RC but I would love if you're talking back support related something.
My back is already weak as I have stitches from old accident.

I was in total mood for Michelin and had been waiting from a week for stock to arrive but got these MRF Revz C1 installed just now.

Girlfriend got these tyres as a surprise and I just couldn't ruin her smiling face. I'll be using them for few months, then back to Metzeler.

                                Reaction :
Did 12 km from shop to home & the tyre feels heavy, smaller in looks from back.
Grip and corners I will test tomorrow morning.
