I am getting Honda CBR 650F next month. Will be keeping RC 390 too. So just confused whether to get ecu or let the RC be stock.
Usually for a proper remap with the correct map, FF exhaust, and the air filter you can gain a bump of 2 to 3 bhp easily. Now, there is a fine line between what's optimizing that's already programmed in the bike as opposed to completely custom remap which suits the individual rider.

Plus, you have all the details and graphs with the respective manufacturer of the boxes in their website, check it out.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Today when I switch on the ignition of my RC390, after about 1-2 minutes, it started showing low battery sign. I hadn't started the bike yet; had just switched on the ignition and was wearing my jacket and gloves. When I started the bike, it started immediately without any issues and I rode to office for 45 kms. Anything to worry about as far as battery is concerned? Or would the battery have got charged in those 45 kms?

It happens when you don't ride bike for a long time. I took out my bike after a month and started it. It showed low battery, took out the battery, sent it to service center. They gave it back in 3 hrs fully charged. If you are riding daily then it might be loose terminals

Got the 3rd service done today. Paid an epic total bill amount of Rs.17 for some washers and nuts. Didn't change engine oil as it was only 600kms since last service. The guys were nice enough to oil the chain with sae90 for free.

Hi, i own a RC 200(Hoping the mirror set used in both RCs are same),Recently my bike fell and left side Mirror holder broke. The Mirror glass and indicator are not damaged (They are hanging from the Indicator wire) but the aluminium casting has broken, should i change the whole set or is it possible only to change that holder ?

You have to buy the full set, its not available as separate unit. The led, mirror and stalk should be available as separate units because the cost of entire set is expensive.

Get it checked at the svc. I've seen a friends bike have a similar issue and it was related to the float (Which is attached to the fuel pump)

                      How old is the bike/battery?
How long was the bike lying unused ? was it normal the previous day and suddenly today it popped up the low batt warning?
Are you sure that you shut the ignition off using the key when it was parked?
As for your last question, yes the battery gets charged every-time the engine is running.. that's how automotive battery/charging circuits work.
Keep an eye on the battery warning for a couple of days, or ask the svc/local battery shop to check the battery/charging using a simple multimeter.

I hadn't used the bike for around 3 weeks. I think that's the reason. Hopefully, it got charged in those 45 kms. I have to ride back home too. Will keep an eye on the low battery sign for the new couple of days.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts.

Its better you make sure to get the battery charged. The battery won't charge that much in 45-90 kms. I have gone through the battery issue even after riding 150 kms. And RC won't start with push too. Be on safe side get the battery charged.

                          Happy revving and safe riding!

The problem with this case is almost always the float. The float is what gives sends the signals to the ECU based on which the readings are calculated. Faulty float circuit can lead to erroneous readings. The problem with modern fuel injection is the float and the pump and one piece and the wiring too is a simple connector, so in some cases the entire fuel pump is required to be replaced.

If the bike hasn't been cranked for more than three weeks, the Low Battery Warning appears for some time, totally normal. Once the battery is charged up, you shouldn't see that error message showing up. If you observe this message after parking for half an hour after a ride or one hour after ride, it's time to charge the batteries and then observe.

I am getting Honda CBR 650F next month. Will be keeping RC 390 too. So just confused whether to get ecu or let the RC be stock.
I got the ecu not for the increase in power but how the power is delivered. You get different maps to chose from, I use map 1/standard map provided by the powertronic.
The power delivery is smooth now, no jerks, the engine also feels less stressed and heats up less too, I get a slighly better FE and also a bit more power and engine braking is so much better now, you get much better throttle response too.

The stock engine runs very lean from factory, it feels stressed and rough but with the ecu sorting out the fueling, it feels like a different Bike.

Here is comparison of stock vs powertronic (map 1/standard map)
The output shown in the graph is at crank.
At crank you get like 3 - 4 bhp gain, that would be like 2 - 3 bhp gain at rear wheel.
