    Similarly, for 7100 4t, should I get (if 300v isn't applicable) 10w50 or 20w50?
KTM has advised the svc's to stop using the 300v. Reason being, it was known to cause leaks and they probably decided to play safe. I've myself noticed in the past and also remember mentioning on xbhp that most of the cases of 390's that had a head-gasket failure were running the 300v.. this was much before ktm instructed the svc's.
So I'd say stay away from the 300v.. the 7100 does a great job.
You can use either 10w50 or 20w50 , no issues.

Oh damn, I already ordered 3 litres of it🙈
I had called the SVC though, and he told me 300v is perfectly okay. Just to clarify, how could oil type cause a leak?
      Thanks for the info though

Like I said, I'd play safe even if my svc allowed it.
Now coming to your question, 300v is a fully synthetic oil (more fully synthetic than 7100). It is probably more refined/synthetically advanced than the 7100 (if you want to know what real synthetic oil is then read some reputed material online) and the additive package in the 300v is different from the 7100. One of the important characteristics of a synthetic oil is the molecular size i.e. uniform size compared to a mineral oil.
The 300v might cause leaks due to its inherent characteristics (highly advanced synthetic oil+additive package) and also maybe the gasket's or the clearances on the mating surfaces on the bikes are not up-to the mark to deal with such oils. It's a combination of factors, that causes leaks in some cases.
A crude (and maybe bad) example, drinking water.. sometimes when you have water or food at a different place, you might end up with a bad tummy, while the people who usually consume that same water on a daily basis are perfectly ok. The human body has an active mechanism to reject and adapt to, while a motorcycle cannot.

I've never had my bike serviced at svc so I dont need to worry about warranty and if you can use a better quality gasket there will be no leakage
Now comming to 300v, it performs far better than 7100, im never using 7100 ever again.

Hey guys , my RC390 is at 16k kms on ODO . Recently am finding that the coolant level keeps dropping below minimum level within say ,1000-2000 kms. I topped it up around 2-3 weeks ago and now again its below Minimum value . Is this normal ? I don't see any signs of leak anywhere too . Please advice .

not normal. please get it checked. sometimes it might be difficult to spot a leak. ask them to pressure test the radiator.
other probable causes are a head gasket or water pump seal failure.

Pretty sure this issue started after my radiator fan was changed under warranty . There was a head gasket leak before . Got that fixed last service . Should check the other things ASAP then .Thanks mate .

there is nothing preventing another head gasket failure, so get everything checked.

That gloss seriously looks bad (at least in pic) but what do we get out of all this ?

Very much the same strategy we have seen in the R15 since the last 50 years. Anyhow I really like the gloss black and have made a few parts of my ride painted gloss metallic black.

How exactly did you go about achieving that? Stickers looking like that, or painting the fairing itself after removing the stickers?
I can't imagine how that would work, I don't think it would look like a metallic finish, could you please elaborate a little on this?
I'm interested in changing mine too entirely like the posted pic, any suggestions on how I could go by it? Or would this be available via SVC soon enough? (Similar to their akrapovic ones available)
I really like the look of that, if possible please do post pics of your ride.
                                Thanks!
