re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
Speedo indicated, two of my friends who own an r15 did 150. One of them has a v1 and the other has v2. There might be some error between true speed and speedo indicated but there is a difference in all bikes. Maybe they both were riding on a decline.Originally posted by SDS17 View PostLast edited by jRay; 09-03-2015, 12:00 PM.Never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly.

Even then the error is not true. Thats a BIG error. True speed wont go beyond 120Originally posted by jRay View PostSpeedo indicated, two of my friends who own an r15 did 150. re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
There must be a huge error. And IMHO 137 speedo indicated is good enough for the RC200, as I think that the KTMs are quiet conservative as far as the speedo indicated speed in concerned. During the trackdays at BIC the speedos of some duke 390s were giving a figure of around 175-177, whereas their speed as per the BIC transponders was around 182-184. And those limiters are there for a reason.Originally posted by jRay View PostSpeedo indicated, two of my friends who own an r15 did 150. One of them has a v1 and the other has v2. Makes sense. Huge error + riding ion a decline can give such a reading on the speedo.Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostEven then the error is not true. Thats a BIG error. True speed wont go beyond 120
Are you serious?? Hearing such an instance for the first time in my life! Then the 137 Kmph true top speed seems fine!Originally posted by SDS17 View PostThere must be a huge error. Yes, I'm serious. A few guys at the KTM trackday in 2014 had quoted that their bikes were showing a lesser speed than what the BIC guys had quoted. I was surprised too. Here is a summary of one of the sessions from that day, see the speed column....Originally posted by jRay View Post

Don't be soo confused.Originally posted by amarme001 View PostI am confused, the class in the pictures mentions sbk and 600 where is KTM??
This is how they had coded the bikes for some reason, maybe they didn't have any particular class for the 390s. The SBK is for the instructor's bike who was also riding a Duke.

Seriously...!!!!!
LOL
, my main reason to not considering rc 200 was the top end which is some how less then rs 200.
So the lowest top speed on the list is 148, is this the rc 200 top speed??

On another note:
I was supposed to get my RC along with registration today (It was supposed to be registered on 31st Aug) and i didn't get any call from the showroom so i called them today and asked them about the delivery, they took my details and told me they'd call me within 15 minutes (they didn't), I waited for 3 hours and thought screw it, ill go there directly, went to the showroom and asked for my bike. They made some calls and made some excuses about RTO being on strike yesterday so couldn't get it registered, The truth was they didn't even send the documents to the RTO even after 2 week's after i've made the full payment ( i made the payment only after confirming that my bike was to be sent to the RTO ASAP). Shoot a mail to the higher opps at KTM/Bajaj, you will get your bike delivered at your doorstep. I have read somewhere in KTM threads, they provided the test ride at doorstep after the mail. Search all KTM threads (200 & 390) you will get the email addresses.Originally posted by jRay View PostPathetic and irresponsible staff. No communication from their side ever.
