Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
That's too good for you. I am still running behind them. Every time they say this: "Part ordered not received yet, it's not a major issue you can continue using you bike. We will inform as soon as we get the item". It's been close to a month and every week they say this same thing.Originally posted by vishnu.leo View PostGot the bike back, got the whole res tank replaced under warranty.
Yup, that's me. Still waiting for the parts to arrive. If it's a design flaw, shouldn't that happen to almost everyone who owns RC? Does the replacement part do any better if it is a design flaw?Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostGlad to see it replaced under warranty. And it isn't quality issue per se, but it's the high intensity, low frequency vibes that are causing them to snap off. I've had the opportunity to check both this and the Ninja's in fact both these coolant containers are no less different. The proximity to which they are held near the frame in fact makes them vibrate so much so the cantilever outlet pipe just snaps. Design flaw, not quality.
And if I reckon even somebody earlier had this issue, I guess in this thread.Last edited by joe_marvy; 12-10-2015, 08:28 PM.

Can you or someone provide me a email ID, which would really make an effect and I get proper response. I read earlier Bajaj/KTM do respond to emails.Originally posted by KayKashyap View PostWrite a mail to KTM & post it on their Facebook page. They themselves will give you a call.

I am sorry, I am bit uncomfortable using FB for this and I don't use it much. I am mailing them now.Originally posted by KayKashyap View PostDid u post on their official FB page? i have done it twice & have got replies & calls within 24 hours of posting..
Guys,
Just two weeks before completed my first paid service. I had only completed around 4K KMS when my 3rd free service was due. So I didn't felt the need to change oil or go for a service so I skipped it and went for service after I hit 6K KMS. They politely rejected 3rd free service (as expected) and said it will be a paid service.
The total bill was 3036/-. Is this normal? I can post the copies of the bill if required.
Now I am planning to leave the bike for service only when the KMS are covered. Could you please tell me the correct interval in KMS between each service. I think 6000 KMS is good, please correct me if I'm wrong.
I now hear a pronounced "tak tak" sound when I hit a pothole even at 2-3 KMPH. Chain is bit loose (it is in the acceptable tolerance) but not to the level of hitting the swingy. If anyone faced similar issue, please help me isolate the exact cause for this sound. I am very sure it is happening at the rear.

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
Noob question here.
Why does the bike jerk when opening the throttle even a little from a lower rpm? I have to constantly use the clutch when opening the throttle from a lower rpm like 3k so it doesn't happen.Never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly.

Ha ha, welcome to short gearing club, this is where the 200 shines! Start playing around with your gear leaver. It might feel jerky until you start to play around with the clutch and gear respective to their RPM. If you fail, bam! Off. Just give her the right gear she needs she'll make others around (on a start line or a redlight) to feel WTH!Originally posted by jRay View PostNoob question here.

Hey jRaj thanks for the email IDs. I got an immediate response from both KTM and Bajaj. They confirmed to get this thing fixed ASAP. Let's hope for the best! I'll keep you guy's posted.

don't worry man, these KTM/Bajaj guys are VERY responsive to emails & customer dissatisfaction.. whether they take steps to correct it or not, I don't know.. but whether your issue is given attention & it's resolved - yes it is.. that much I can assure you..

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
After 10 emails and 5 calls each lasting for more than 15 mins, the response I got is nothing. My question was can someone give me correct breakdown of the on road price of RC 390 and even after sending them photo copy of dealer quotation and along with booking slip, I didn't get a single response.Originally posted by Ajay Vishwanath View Postdon't worry man, these KTM/Bajaj guys are VERY responsive to emails & customer dissatisfaction.. whether they take steps to correct it or not, I don't know.. but whether your issue is given attention & it's resolved - yes it is.. that much I can assure you..

Yeah I've noticed that. She NEEDS to be in the right gear all the time, pita in traffic because i have to constantly change gears but the acceleration is mind blowing.Originally posted by joe_marvy View PostHa ha, welcome to short gearing club, this is where the 200 shines!
