Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
That's like 31 kmpl approx... Because a couple of my friends say that the average they get is around 40s in their dukes and im like [emoji33]Originally posted by vishnu.leo View Postdepends , weekday usage tends to leave the number at less than 240-250 however weekend riding usually puts it around 250-270
Searched the Duke forum and even they are (mostly) telling that it's around 30-32.. But again... How come some folks get 40s ?! Mods?? Powertronic?

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
"They" ride the bike slowly, accelerate slowly, do about 60-80kmph in to gear etc. I managed to reach 36 once when i had the duke. But its very boring and frustrating. I usually got 30+/-2, and thats what majority reports.Originally posted by Ajay Vishwanath View PostThat's like 31 kmpl approx... Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
close to 40 is perfectly possible given that you have the bike in its optimum condition and is on a trip on the highway cruising at maybe 70s in the top gear, which calls for very less or no gear shifts at all. This condition may give that sort of efficiency, because i have had instances of the same. Info panel showed around 2.0 L per 100 km , and i got a reserve to reserve range of ~310 km on 500 bucks worth fuel(during the time fuel price was close to 70 bucks a litre) though the ride was an utter boring one cruising on the highway :/Originally posted by Ajay Vishwanath View PostThat's like 31 kmpl approx... Yeah, I'm guessing the same too.. but "they" claimed on city conditions.. crazy.. or maybe they were lying..
but yes, 60-80 gives good mileage I've noticed too. that's like in 6th gear @ 5500-6000 RPM (slight throttle) and thus lowest fuel dispensed & highest speed attained. thus, maximum mileage. but a boring ride.. I ride at about 100 or so.. sometimes 130 to keep things interesting..
the only thing I could as for in the 2016 mod is for a bigger fuel tank (thanks to the height adjustable bars, can be a good tourer/commuter too)

I felt marathalli guys are better of the two svc's i have used. I wouldn't recommend indranagar. My gear lever got detached while riding back from service 😂. If i had not noticed, all the bolted joints would have come off as well. I had to search and tighten all the loosened bolts

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
For some reason, I can't do a push & start.. I was about to check this with a mechanic.. Any known reason for this?Originally posted by KayKashyap View Postdid u try to start in second gear ? push & start ?
well last month even i faced the same issue,my bike wasn't starting no matter what, then i took it to a local mechanic who tightened the wires connecting the battery & then it started.later i got it fixed properly in SVC.
Previously i have changed my radiator fans twice.
P.s If u have warranty take it to SVC.
Also, do u suggest it is a preferred way to start the bike to may be save the battery?

your bike needs to be 2nd or 3rd gear to do it.Originally posted by Suhas Kar View PostFor some reason, I can't do a push & start.. I was about to check this with a mechanic.. Any known reason for this?

i wouldn't suggest, why stress yourself so much? maybe when your battery is dead and you have no other go,push start is the answer.

I'm used to doing this coz I come down a slope when I get it out of my parking. So, it isn't about stressing myself [emoji4]

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
I am regularly giving mine in marathahalli SVC, they are not the best but OK for me. Try to go there on the weekdays, weekends they don't even consider you if you are there at 9.45 AM. Weekends they will always have these excuses (Yesterday's pending bikes, ramp not working, chief mech not avail, etc) and ask you to come on Monday. Since they have a holiday on Sunday, they will try to reduce the number of bikes to take on Saturday (to close shutters earlyOriginally posted by prithvikamayya View PostI felt marathalli guys are better of the two svc's i have used. Throttle Blipping is an art! Caution: Master it before you do it on the streets or on your loved steed.

I have got over 40kmpl on my highway rides given that i was riding it below 90 all the time. In traffic i usually get around 33kmpl.
