Decode your VIN. Make sure you get a 2015 model. Check your odo. It should be under to 10 kms.Click image for larger version

AFAIK, the ASC won't install ABS & AFAIK, it's never been done before.. I'm interested tho.. but I'm sure there will be a different firmware for the ABS version than the non-ABS version.. it will be nice if they can install ABS aftermarket or given ABS with the RC.....

I was looking at these Saferide ABS

was wondering if anyone has installed it or ridden a motorcycle equipped with it.

seems like a nice idea.. but I'm not sure how this actually will work on our RCs... and the reliability.. this looks like it's only for front brake.. not the rear.. and the ASC won't install this, you are on your own.. will void warranty for sure..

there have been ppl who have used this saferide contraption on their pulsars , i remember some members here including one moderator who had this installed.
and iirc their feedback was that there wasn't anything negative about it and its a mechanical device that somehow pulses the force applied to the pads with lesser chance of locking up the wheel. It can be used on either front or back.
not sure if saferide is still selling this (this came out a few years ago), but there are other similar stuff being sold in the market for around 600rs.
You could give it a try, but practicing and learning to brake better on the stock setup will be good thing compared to adding these contraptions to your bike

I think it can be installed to front or rear brakes. But yeah warranty is mostly void.

not to mention reliability.. what if it fails in the time of need??

Yeah stock abs is best but i was just wondering how effective it is.

its just a 2 minute plug and play add on. if you want to experiment, you could try it and chuck it if you do not like it or are concerned with safety (which i am)

It was just a thought i had after a panic braking situation at night but it went away the next day when i had to brake harder from a higher speed to a complete halt and everything was under control, also noticed the RC is stable as hell under such situations.

yeah.. the RC is built rock solid.. I braked hard under kinda awkward condition.. I wasn't even straight and was like kinda turning when I had to hit hard brakes and I almost did bust my balls but the RC held it's ground well with shakes that I managed to balance.. the front tire did an amazing job there.. I'm going to treat her to a nice neat little service soon..
