Fender extender. It wasnt available for rc yet. Duke(different shape) has it right out the factory. Our front mudguard has holes for this. This extender helps in keeping the radiator spic and span, since it has more length, no trye spray and mud/stones from tyres reaches the radiator. I was using a jugaad extender(rx100 mudflap)till now, but this is oem and looks the part.

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
So finally got to ride after quite a while! Found a new extremely beautiful road near indore and let the revvs touch the sky! It is just so satisfying to ride this bike fast! I have been riding in the city for so long that i missed having the throttle fully open! Though i did get my share of carving moments yesterday! Here are some pics

There many ways to get to that road, I'll suggest you to go on the road that leads to crescent waterpark, keep going ahead for 15 or so odd kilometers and then you'll reach a town called pedmi, turn off the road and into pedmi towards udainagar and once you reach udainagar you can go in either directions, one towards nachanbor and other towrds punjapura, both these roads are amazing also if you choose to go towards punjapura just after getting out of udainagar you will get a straight road almost 1.5 km in length and absolutely empty so you can go absolutely flatout there!

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
Was roaming in around madikeri, karnataka for the last two days, weekend was absolutely fantastic with all sorts of fun ; corners, fog, off roading, exploring unmapped roads, meeting new people.
i used to have this small problem with the gear shift from day one, it simply refused to shift down to 1 from N , despite the repeated answer from svc that it was the loose chain(after a couple of 100 kms) , I believed that the culprit for this was the excessive play on the connecting rod, so after getting fed up with it, tried tighting the rod with a small piece of thin cloth, and presto the problem is gone, shifts are smooth and precise now.
by the way a small teaser from the weekend

Yes, until the oil is changed, it's good to follow the run in process. You open it up after you've changed the oil.Originally posted by jRay View PostShould i continue running in? First service will be done soon and i did just 860 km.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

I mean to say servicing done at ~860 km, so i can open it up now?
Few things i noticed:
Increased Vibrations ( especially on the footpeg ) under 7.5k rpm, i didn't go further yet.
Does anyone else have this?
Reduced braking power ( The manager said it is due to washing and would be back to normal in sometime )Last edited by jRay; 10-26-2015, 09:57 PM.Never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly.

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
it depends on not only the way you ride, but your braking habits as well. i've noticed that the front on my D200 is worn out more than the rear at 14k km (reason being i brake 80% using the front). The rear though has had 3 punctures thus farOriginally posted by Ishaan.humble View PostAnyone knows how long these mrfs on on our bikes last with normal use and no burnouts and skids or any form of torture on the tyre?
Around 16-18k km is a safe bet on these tires if used normally.

Braking power is reduced when the brakes are wet, i.e. washed, when run over water filled ditches or if any solvent is present on the motorcycle rotors like oil or grease etc. They get back on track as the pads come in contact with the rotor. For water it's usually within minutes of riding, but if you have persistent poor brake performance get it checked.
