Any way to clean chain lube off the alloys and tyres? I guess i sprayed a little more than required and the excess is now on the sides of rear tyre and alloys. This has been bothering me for some days now

Use few drops of kerosene and wipe it with cloth, alloys will get cleaned but I don't know how to clean tyre.Originally posted by jRay View PostAny way to clean chain lube off the alloys and tyres? Listen closely while the RPM is dropping, you might understand what I was trying to say. I am owning the bike for one year, only after the recent SVC trouble with replacement part I am hearing this sound. They did replace the coolant reservoir under warranty, but new issues started. This sound is heard close to airfilter box or underseat.
PS: Highly recommended to use a headphone to listen.

Re: Does engine performance go down because of using different petrol?
it all boils down to the individual petrol bunk when it comes to adulteration.Originally posted by Saran5 View PostHi,.. I own RC 200, I always use (Shell) Power Petrol only when I'm in Bangalore.
When I go out, we don't have Shell Petrol Pump everywhere, so then I have to use Normal petrol only.
My worry is, will my bike engine's performance go down because of different petrol.?
1000's of folks use petrol from BP, IOC etc without any issues.. so fret not.
A personal recommendation, instead of paying for 'premium' 'speed' types of fuel, just fill up regular petrol and use this additive called "Adon P" maybe every other tankful. It's sold at most IOC outlets.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Nopes! I might be wrong, but from what I saw on the swingarm of the naked one, I don't see those treading. Could you get a wide angle shot of the picture, so that we can get a closer view.Originally posted by jRay View PostI was washing the bike today and noticed this, Is it supposed to be this way? What is it for?

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
No, it's not. If something is loose the sound should be always there. This sound comes only when the engine is cold, once the engine reaches optimum temp, the sound disappears.Originally posted by jRay View PostSeems like loose plastic, check if something got loose, like battery cover etc
I got a Low Battery warning four days before, I took out the battery and gave for charging in an authorized Exide battery shop. The charge was full, when connected to multimeter it showed ~ 13.4. After two days of running I am again getting the Low Battery warning. Is my battery dead or the alternator (don't know what we call it for bikes)?. My bike was idle for around 1 month, since I was out of town.
Is battery covered under warranty?Last edited by joe_marvy; 01-06-2016, 03:50 PM.
