Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
Guys I'm getting buzzing sound from the instrument cluster, its increasing day by day. Its just 500 kms old. Also some kids decided to drop my bike leaving my right RVM broken/shattered, rear brake lever bent. So can they be replaced under warranty/ insurance. The place where the bike was dropped had CCTV cameras , the owner of the place said he will check the recording and tell me who did it, culprit will be caught today. But its mostly kids so I don't think I can get any money out of them, hence asked about insurance. Buzzing sound coming from the bike even before it was dropped.

Since its new, give your bike to SVC and get it checked for cluster buzz sound and warranty cannot be claimed for the broken RVM,brake lever, may be insurance can be claimed.Originally posted by Kenny Pinto View PostGuys I'm getting buzzing sound from the instrument cluster, its increasing day by day. be careful with the place where you park the bike.

Hi Kenny
Unfortunate that it happened.
Still i believe you must get the culprit and escalate the issue.
If its a kid then track down the parents and demand compensation.
Atleast the kids will leave your bike alone.(for few weeks ?!)
Do you cover your bike ?
It does make a difference.
Usually uncovered bikes become easy targets.
adults let alone kids would sit and have sutta/ tea breaks on such bikes.
RC not having a main stand is prone to falls.

I had the same issue of the buzzing sound, it is mostly either because of a loose bolt in the number plate/slightly bent number plate or because of one or two slightly loose bolts in the fairing.
Place your hand on the fairing and give throttle to check whether the vibrating sound stops. If so then tighten the fairing.
There are a few screws which can be accessed only through the inside of the fairing, you can just squeeze in your hand and tighten it (its not as hard as you think it is)
P.S. please check the type of screw head some are hex, some are star and some are slots.
Cheers :-)The closer you are to death, the more alive you feel. -RUSH
