Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
If you are planning to do most of the maintenance on your own then it's good investment.Originally posted by raj.pranay View PostHi all, I've been planning to buy a paddock stand but I found the options too costly online. My budget is about 2.5k. can I get any vfm stand with this budget?
GA Engg on Amazon costs about 3.8k. I should have bought it when it was 2.8.
Are there any alternatives. Can I get them anywhere in Hyderabad? Like ramkot or some other place?
If you just need for chain cleaning and lube then it's not required, you can do cleaning and lubing without stand. I am doing this since last 2 years without much problem.
Clean and lube visible part of chain first then tilt little bit and rotate wheel and repeat.

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
There are lots of "mushroom sprout" shops spread over Facebook that sell paddock stands et cetera. But, if you don't like to send 3k on a paddock, your best bet would be car jack with a slab of plywood. It is so simple to jack up our bikes using car jack for chain cleaning , washing and maintenance purposes and what not. Check out Youtube videos on how people use a car jack on a bike, especially the Dominar and the KTM twins, it's pretty much cost effective, simple and works 100% of the time.Originally posted by raj.pranay View PostHi all, I've been planning to buy a paddock stand but I found the options too costly online. GA Engineering, and many local vendors sell paddocks via their FB pages, you can contact Gaurav, he's a cool chap.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
damn yes!!! I used to do that too!!! car jacks!!! god they were a pain to setup, I used to use two industrial bolts screwed into the spools spot, raise the height of the bolt with a car jack.. good ol days of learning.. but the convenience of a paddock - priceless..Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostThere are lots of "mushroom sprout" shops spread over Facebook that sell paddock stands et cetera. @raj.pranay
BTW, I fabricated mine, cost me some 2K, if you see the first page of this thread, you got all the necessary information for it..
I just took a iron-smith to the KTM workshop & showed him what I wanted, he just got it made for me, just told him that the stand should be able to lift weights of some 500 KGs.. that's all.. that's simplest thing you can do..
live long.. live happy.. that's the best revenge that can be served to the people who hate you..

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
Hey guys, In low revs, shortly after the bike is left to idle, it cuts out... ENGINE shuts down.. what to do now? I gave my bike to SVC guys for decarbonization. Bike is smoother than before. But while on my way back to home, engine turned itself down at least 10 times ..so I gave them again.. they say, it's idle problem.. what to do now
ride safe! There's no love like the first

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
If it stops when the bike is brought to idle every time or jerks and stops when engaging in gear, check your side stand switch. A faulty switch can cause repeated stalling. Secondly, now that you've done decarbonization, check your throttle body and stepper motor, this motor is what allows the engine to idle, it's on the throttle body. Thirdly check the battery cables and see if they are snug, a loose battery or not so snug fit battery lugs will cause repeated stalling. If your battery lugs and side stand switch is fine, check your throttle body stepper motor or also knows as idle motor.Originally posted by ktmrc200 View PostHey guys, In low revs, shortly after the bike is left to idle, it cuts out... Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
Different sounds can point to different set of issues. If you feel constant tick tick or click click sound throughout the rev range, do get your valve clearances checked, most probably you'd be requiring periodic shim replacement.Originally posted by mannadiyar369 View PostHey bros...i own an rc 200 for the past 2 years and have completed 45k kms ...now i can hear a tickling sound from the engine and is it an issue or its the normal sound of shim?

Keep your service review posted here, once you get your clearance checked and replaced. Do post a detailed ownership report at around 50k kms, like parts changed, issues faced if any, how the overall experience been to date, when you get the time. Would definitely come in handy for someone considering to pick up the machine. Ride safe.Originally posted by mannadiyar369 View PostThank you bro

..it has been 2 years since i ve been using the bike and no major issues has been caused yet...the only thing i had to replace is the starter plate and my chain sprocket had lasted for 45k kms and i have changed it today...proper maintenance and lubing and adjustment of the chain on every 500kms will make the chain last longer..The service should be done without any delay and should check the oil level on 3000-3500 kms after each periodic service...Morning is the apt time for checking the engine oil level on your bike by keeping the bike in an upright position and infact we need someone's help anyway..[emoji23]...The more u ride , lesser will be the issues , provided the maintenance should be done properly
