Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Guys,
After 7 punctures
, I finally got my rear tire replaced today. I thought of replacing it with the same set of MRF but then my mind was thinking different. Though the stock MRF was decent and provided good grip, it used to skid ( in straight line) once in a while during hard braking. So I thought I will try a softer compound tire this time.
Hence, Pirelli Sport Dragon 140/70 - 17 M/C 66H TL was my choice. This became my choice only when I saw it in the tire shop
. I did some research around it at first and went for a 140 section, instead of the recommended 130 section (yes it fits well and there is ample space around the tire to breathe and expand during impact).
By the way, these are not radial, they are cross ply tires. As I don't do long rides, I get impressive grip as the tires warm up pretty quick. There is a change in speed at a given rpm also, improvement in fact. I was doing about 70kmph on my MRF at 5500 rpm in 6th gear. On this tire, I am able to achieve 75kmph at 5500 rpm in 6th gear and 83-84kmph at 6000 rpm. My first impression of these tires are very good, but I will surely write again about my experience after 500km with these on.
I am thinking of changing the front tires too but with radials as sidewalls are important for front tires. Mostly I will go with Michelin Pilot Street 110 section. Any suggestions?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
For our smaller 3.5" front rim 100 section is the best, 110 will make changing directions slower.Originally posted by [email protected] View PostGuys,

yes now you are doing more speed at same RPM, bigger radius tyre means gearing becomes taller.

Thanks Aditya, I will stick to the stock width for the front tire. Any suggestion for a good tire apart from Michelin Pilot Street?Originally posted by IamAditya View PostFor our smaller 3.5" front rim 100 section is the best, 110 will make changing directions slower.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hey guys... Are you comfortable with the seats on long rides.. I mean not too long though.. I have to ride like 120km each back and forth through not so good roads(not highways) every weekend.. And I get butt aches like after an hour and a half or so... So any suggestions on increasing the comfort? I know about the gel seats but are they worth it?

Same happened to me also bro.. My seats were like stone. I added some extra foam to it while installing seat covers. Now somewhat good. But not the best comfort. Have to change to gel seats after some time.Originally posted by xmoose View PostHey guys... Are you comfortable with the seats on long rides.. I mean not too long though.. No body aches.
The seat is realy hard, and the shock is very stiff.
Adjust the rear shock, make its softer and see if it helps.

Not all the time but occasionally...Originally posted by IamAditya View PostNo... Don't make it softer if you scrape pegs.
Its like Ghat roads..and hairpins.. Plus they are not engineered well(#kerala) .
Can we actually take the seat apart and do something.. Although personally I hate bullets.. I love riding on the back seat.. Anything we can do to the seat to make it more comfy?

So you put a new seat cover.. And some soft foam underneath? Does it make it ang better?Originally posted by shanthasoroobanr View PostSame happened to me also bro.. My seats were like stone. No go for cushioning or gel .
Making the rear softer will make the bike less stable.
