I meant is there a running in limiter like how it is present in dominar? The limit you're taking about here is post 1st service, I meant ore first service.

The service center here in Goa is brilliant (sitara bajaj in navelim Goa ), I never had any issues which weren't rectified , but then again I know the owner so that influence might be the factor.. also once they messed up my gasket which caused engine oil leaks, they re did it for free after I reported that problem. The only thing I'll require is a padlock stand and I heard they're not cheap !! Any one has bought one for the RS 200? What's the cost of one..
The horns did not require any additional relay as bajaj has itself given separate relays for each and every thing already on rs 200. All you need is to plug and play. The issue with horns was that there was almost no space for the dual horns to fit in as a result I had to discard my roots vibrosonic that I used on previous pulsar. For my new rs 200 I brought myself a smaller pair of horns of the same make. The smaller version of roots dual horns costed me 42o buck including the additional cables. I have attached a pic of the horns as well. Please do not install the second horn anywhere below as mentioned in other youtube videos as their there is no place for sound waves to spread in forward direction. You will feel the loudness of horns but they would not sound as loud to the traffic in front so try installing in my way so that both of them face forward and the sound output may be maximum towards front. As far as considered about the vento horns I am having no idea, also I did not experimented much with heavier horns as already there are so many electricals in bike i wanted to maintain a balance between power in(from alternator to battery) and power out(battery to other electronic components) ratio so that there may not be any stress on battery or fuse if I turn on all things at same time.

Now talking about the running limiter, I have not noticed any such thing, have revved the bike till 9.5 k rpm as at one point some fools were hopping around me on duke 200 and r15 so I finally went out of mind and revved it for approx 60 seconds at 360 km odo readings. It is very hard to resist from driving fast as this bike is insane .

And also congrats for the V.I.P treatment you are getting at your place

I am myself trying to find a paddock stand with a good build quality which may not effect the paint on the portion where it will be continuously staying in contact with. Please someone do suggest a good quality paddock stand for my pulse.

    Thanks in advance.

I heard 5100 is good for 4-5k kms
Yes for 1st time because our bike needs 1.2L

the Bajaj service center here in goa (Sitara Bajaj) is really good (speaking from past 7 years of visiting there), ive always recieved my bike on time or even before time on servicings, once the mechanic did some error and it resulted in oil leakage from the gaskit on the engine block, when i returned back with the issue, they actually completely fixed it free of cost ! (bike wasnt even in warranty at this time), so im very satisfied with the after sales service here in goa.

I do tend to give a good tip/bonus to the mechanic if hes done a good job, it definitely helps ! and man the guy who did the gasket error got a mouthful from me (in a polite way though) and i never gave the bike to service for that mechanic again. best is to get hold of one mechanic and always schedule the servicings with him, hes happy, im happy ! its a win win situation in my case. i can say with guarantee that my bike has been services for past 7 years by only 3 mechanics in ths bajaj service center.maintaining relations goes a big way. (my apologies for going way off topic, we should pm about this)

Our stories are gonna be damn similar , i still have my 220 from 2009, getting the graphite black rs200 next month , now that you've owned it for long, how is your review ? tell me positives as well as negatives from your perspective
I hope you dont mind me butting in but great to see another Goan RS200 owner.
Ill give you a little heads up on my bike first.
I got my Red RS200 abs in September 2015. Have covered only 13.5k kms till now. This was my first two wheeler(Always had a car), my dad rode it home from the showroom since i never had ridden extensively a gear/non gear bike before that(got my geared licence by practicing on an lml vespa).
Coming to the positives( i dont have any other bike to compare with so could be biased)
                  1. Great stability,handling, cornering.
                  2. Adequate power for a heavy bike.
                  3. Decent mileage
                  4. good front brakes
                  5. excellent headlights
                  6. comfortable riding position

                  Negatives
                  1. Vibrations
                  2. inconsistent paint, build quality.
                  3. niggles like occasional starting issues, engine jerking etc
                  4. inconsistent service experience(sitara bajaj navelim )

I have read that bajaj has taken customer feed back and reduced the vibrations, and improved build quality in the newer batches, so you shouldn't have any issues there.
Niggles do occur for other owners and this is were the service guys come in.Now since you have past experience with sitara bajaj and know the owner well ,you would be at a grate advantage when solving any future niggles that occur.

In my case i found sitara bajaj to be good at times and sometimes average or disappointing, but never outright bad. I feel with the rs200, they do not like to open the fairing for any issues due to the complexity and hence any issues or concerns of clogged air filter or fuel filter etc will be addressed at 1st paid service. These guys do get overwhelmed with the sheer number of bikes to service and hence refuse to do anything major with the rs200 unless its obvious that the bike needs opening up.
And the last issues with sitara or maybe most bajaj service centers is stocking of parts. I had to wait for warranty replacement of my taillight for over a week until i complained to customer care and got a replacement tail light from a new RS200 in the depot.
Last service i had my super clogged air filter replaced and asked to replace the fuel filter as well but after opening the faring they report back that they dont have the fuel filter in stock and to make things worse, they dint fit the fairing back properly, makes a rattle!

The good things is that they insist only on motul and not the standard bajaj dtsi oil, either motul 3100t or the 7100 full synthetic and their staff is good natured, so speaking to them is a comfortable experience.

hoping to see some pics of your new beast and Wishing you a blissful ownership experience.

Very nice to hear from fellow goekar man, feels good to have you here! Let's meet up sometime if you're from margao or live nearby here.

Fi bikes should not have starting issues at all. I wonder if it's the ecu causing problems, some get faulty ones.

You're right with the no of bikes they get for service. It's nuts! Btw I just went there yesterday for just oil change and found out my two favorite mechanics have resigned ;( shyam and balaji. Now I don't know who to give my bike for service to. It was just these two guys who I used to give my p220 to service, I used to even give them extra "bonus"
Which really helped in maintaining the relation and made them work better.😂

Agreed with parts issue too, had faced a similar thing for disk brakes a few years ago.

No fuel filters?? That's down right retarded! It's such a common part, you can get fresh spares next to Hindu pharmacy in margao too, they are authorised sellers of parts, I don't know what I bought from there, they have genuine parts there.

                      Hey guys, got a query...
I rode my friend's RS200 and noticed that there was something wrong with the gear shifter. It seemed loose while shifting from N->1 and 1->2. Now, I think that's unusual because it was very loose. I ride a CBR250R and am comparing the shifts of the RS to that of the CBR. And, we got it back just today from servicing....

There is a side stand sensor too which turns off the engine or prevents it from starting if it senses that side stand is out. In 99% cases it's not the ecu causing problems, in my rs, the side stand sensor also malfunctions due to which engine turns off / fails to start in one go. I have to open the stand and then pull it back with a bang to start the engine. I'm going to get it checked to replaced at 1st service. [emoji26]

Oh thanks ! My friend had that issue and it suddenly disappeared before service I'll ask him to check that side stand sensor ! Cheers .

I don't think it's loose.. I mean mine too is like that... If you're trying to say that it takes a longer movement for the shifts.. Like they are distant..

Otherwise I dunno bro.. RSs being bajaj have a less refined transmission than honda anyway I guess.

No such issues on my laser rs. Shifts are buttersmooth. Tell your friend to get it checked properly.
