Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Check for bent forks, fork tube and triple clamp, one of that could be the reason for pre-mature wear of head bearing so soon within 3 months.Originally posted by yasirfz16 View PostBajaj SuperFE 150 - Forever in my heart

Everything related to forks in is alright, there is no problem with these things.Originally posted by kiran2508 View PostCheck for bent forks, fork tube and triple clamp, one of that could be the reason for pre-mature wear of head bearing so soon within 3 months.
One thing to add is that after replacing bearing set I went to mussoorie trip and it is almost hilly terrain. Does that have anything to do with it?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
There is a thud sound that comes from the front somewhere in the RS 200. It has been there since launch, and Bajaj hasn't fixed it even in the BS4 versions. This sound comes when you hit a pothole or speedbump at medium speed. It will not go away, so there is no use trying to rectify it. You'll just have to live with it.Originally posted by yasirfz16 View PostEverything related to forks in is alright, there is no problem with these things.

Replace the ball bearing once more if the problem isn't fixed replace the t stemOriginally posted by yasirfz16 View PostI bought a second hand RS200 of 2017 make. After purchasing I changed the ball bearing set of handlebar because it had reached it limits. And now, just after 3 months of replacement the same problem is arising, if kept loose then the "kat-kat" sound is obvious in speed breakers and if tightened then the handle movement is partially jammed which poses problem during turns. The local mechanic says that ball bearing set has to be replaced
Help me suggest what should I do? Ball bearing cant be replaced in every 3 months

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Recently poured Motul 300V 15w50 into RS200 but the response is not as expected. Instead the performance has gone down. There is more engine noise and vibration than before. I cant understand the problem. Does 300V is not supported by RS200??

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
No, 300V is not recommend for RS200. That oil is only for performance race oriented and lasts only 2000-1500kms. It'll cause leaky head gaskets and bad valve oil seals if used for long duration.Originally posted by yasirfz16 View PostRecently poured Motul 300V 15w50 into RS200 but the response is not as expected. Stick to Motul 5100/7100 for RS200.Bajaj SuperFE 150 - Forever in my heart

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
If you've followed my post, I've always recommended not to use the 300V on our motorcycles. The oil just doesn't do justice for the price, or the performance it has to offer. The best oil for the NS/RS series are 3100 and the 5100 of the same grade, especially the later. 300V has a high tendency to roughen the engine and induce hard gear shifts after a few hundred KMS of ride or once the engine is warmed up. After extensively using 300V for a while now, it's been years since I've looked back at this oil. It's always Shell, or other grades of Motul and not 300V.Originally posted by yasirfz16 View PostRecently poured Motul 300V 15w50 into RS200 but the response is not as expected. The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

So should I drain 300v and pour 5100 or 7100 cause I am having serious engine noise and vibration issues since 300v is poured in?Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostIf you've followed my post, I've always recommended not to use the 300V on our motorcycles. Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Good to know info.
I moved to Motul 7100 10w50 from 7100 20w50 a month ago, there was some vibration early on but it's smoother than it was before oil change.Originally posted by yasirfz16 View PostSo should I drain 300v and pour 5100 or 7100 cause I am having serious engine noise and vibration issues since 300v is poured in?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I would recommend you use it for the timebeing say around 2k kms, and then drain the oil. Draining it less than 1k is sheer waste of hard earned money and oil. You can use it without a problem, but make sure you stay away from it next time.Originally posted by yasirfz16 View PostSo should I drain 300v and pour 5100 or 7100 cause I am having serious engine noise and vibration issues since 300v is poured in?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
The 300V is not JASO MA/MA2 certified i.e not certified for extended use in Unit Construction Engines. It is a racing oil and only meant to last a limited number of hours/laps.Originally posted by yasirfz16 View PostSo should I drain 300v and pour 5100 or 7100 cause I am having serious engine noise and vibration issues since 300v is poured in?
You'd be better off scrapping it and going for a 3100 or something as such which is recommended for use on your motorcycle as per the Owners Manual.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
15w50 is easily available with 5100, 7100 grades. You just need to search for it, or you can get it from online. I am using the 15w50 7100 15w50 grade for as long as I can remember.Originally posted by yasirfz16 View PostBut 7100 is not available in this grade
