One more doubt bro, on the next service i.e. 9.5-10K kms what should I say to the Bajaj SVC guys about the oil? Should I tell them not to change oil or should I let them replace the oil to Bajaj DTSI and then I would change to motul?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Thanks for your reply, I would like to ask if there is anything wrong to use only 1L of engine oil as the capacity is 1.2L. I just filled it with 1 bottle of Motul 300V i.e. 1L.Originally posted by Minisoda View Post

Grab another container and fill some more oil. Lack of oil could be bad for the engine. You can keep that container for the next top up.Originally posted by Shubh305 View PostThanks for your reply, I would like to ask if there is anything wrong to use only 1L of engine oil as the capacity is 1.2L. Do not tell them about the oil change. Let them do the oil change at the SVC if they insist, you can always change it back later to Motul if you wish. They usually start making excuses like warranty blah blah if you ask them to put anything other than the DTSi oil. It's better you do it yourself or get it done by a mechanic you trust.
Cheers buddy.

Ok but the color of motul 300V is different, kind of translucent greenish. Won't the SVC guys find out about the oil change seeing the color difference?Originally posted by Minisoda View PostGrab another container and fill some more oil. The more you ride it the darker it'll get so it's safe to say they won't notice it that much. It's a risk but usually they won't trouble you as they want to finish the job as soon as possible. Good luck.Originally posted by Shubh305 View PostOk but the color of motul 300V is different, kind of translucent greenish. Please fill up correct quantity of oil since lesser oil will lead to engine siezeing in long term. Please use the default oil only unless you are racing on a track everyday.
Motul 300v is just too costly to be regularly used, instead try getting the oil changed more often.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I just completed 1.7k kms on my bike but still the shifting the gears are pain some times it gets too hard to shift and could hear a thud sound while lowering the gears to 3rd 2nd and 1st is that a common issues or something wrong with my bike??
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
thats a good option but it would really be a hard task considering all the busy design on our bike but yeah a metalic one would really give it a premium look if u do give it a vinyl wrap please do post the picsOriginally posted by fundoozzz View PostDid anyone vinyl wrapped their bike yet??

yes I am considering vinyl wrapping my bike in matte black (like the new Apache) but i will do that after 3-4 months once my warranty gets over.Originally posted by vishal sasindran View PostI just completed 1.7k kms on my bike but still the shifting the gears are pain some times it gets too hard to shift and could hear a thud sound while lowering the gears to 3rd 2nd and 1st is that a common issues or something wrong with my bike??

I will be covering all the stickers except the RS 200 sticker at the tail end of the bike.
The only question i am having is regarding the metallic pulsar tank logo.. can it be removed and reapplied after the vinyl wrap?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Post 13k odd kms, major issue with her, typical bajaj-ktm problem, waterpump o-ring is done, coolant into the oil sump, I haven't rectified it yet, but that's what it seems will be going to the svc tomm, the see through shows partly milky colour of oil. The symptoms for this issue is overheating and fan not switching off, 3 days back i topped up the coolant as i was facing this fan issue and this was the ultimate outcome.
