Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I have been using Spartan ASPIDA Phaeton gloves for 1+ years and they work fine for me. Fit the hands perfectly and offer ok protection for the price I paid. Although the gloves I bought look very different from the ones listed under Spartan website.Originally posted by Rachit Puri View Postguys...any suggestions for palm padded gloves? Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Sorry for the late reply bro. Didn't get much time. Anyways, engine flush is a very debatable topic. I have read articles and discussions from both sides and its very confusing. So, from my personal experience I don't feel the need to use flush when changing oil types. According to me engine flush is needed for very ill maintained engine or bikes which have been unused for months or years together, which have lots of deposits, impurities, inside the engine. The new engine has lot of particles during the early stages, but the particles are suspended in engine oil and not deposited in corners of engine. As a precaution, I go step by step as from mineral-->semisynthetic-->synthetic, slowly making the engine to get used to high revs and also increased oil change interval. Just keep in mind that oil grade should be same(20w50 for our rs200).Originally posted by GhostRider666 View PostThank you for the detailed information. My doubts regarding the oil have been clarified. But what I was planning to do was switch to motul 7100 after 7-8k kms. Since I've read in a few blogs that, that would be the ideal time to switch to full synthetic oil. I'm riding an RS btw. I have clocked only 1800kms till now. But can you shed some light on engine flushing if possible. Since I'm not sure if one can change from mineral to synthetic or semi-synthetic for that matter, without flushing the engine.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Relax about the engine heating bro. Its very common for RS's engine, and more so when its just out of showroom and riding in city. All users have experienced same thing. I too felt Even after clocking many kms the engine will get heated when riding in B2B traffic and air flow is reduced around the engine. But the coolant does a very good job of maintaining the engine temperature in control. Just keep and eye on the dash for the engine heating light.Originally posted by CHNANDAKISHORE View PostHi all,
today i have got RS200. But just after riding 1km from the showroom the engine started heating like Oven and was getting a burnt smell.
There is also some 'tak tak' sound coming from engine when it is idle. Also when i am riding the bike there is some other sound coming from the back side of the bike, like some parts are rubbing or some suspension problem . Please help me in resolving these issues.
Am not sure I understand the tak tak sound from engine. If the sound is like a sewing machine sound it may be tappet noise. And regarding g the rubbing noise, check check the rear brake. Chances are that some dirt is stuck between the pads and disc. Using some high pressure air or water can solve the issue. Most of your worries are coming in new bike and can be solved during first service.
Just keep in mind that your bike has travelled lot of kms from factory to your showroom in containers and are stored in places with lot of dust and also man handled, so few niggles are common and can be solved during first service. Just keep check in these things but don't worry about these things too much that you can't enjoy your ride.
Enjoy your new ride bro. Cheers

Thanks Sanket.Originally posted by Sanket s View PostGr8 man the 150/60 looks soo sexy....I noticed u removed the Saree guard did u face any problem and where did u get those 2 screws which are placed on the plastic chain guard after removing the Saree guard. And anyone on headlight upgrade??
I used the same screws by adding washers. Also I painted those screws/washers to black. I haven't faced any problem after removing the saree guard. Mostly I ride solo. We have to ask our ladies to wear salwar or jeans and it will be very difficult for them to sit on one side.

I am not sure whether it can be fitted with or without modification. If swing arm allows we can fit it and if we fit 150/70 the speed and height will get increase slightly.Originally posted by RiteshDharod01 View PostI thought it was 150/70, So is Fitting of 150/70 on the rear possible without effecting any sort of modification.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Rear wheel not locking had another dynamic at play in your scenario, you said you had a pillion which means there was more weight on the rear wheels, therefore more pressure on the tyres stopped the wheels from getting locked up under hard braking, ease up your braking on the rear if you are riding solo.
The new fat wheels will improve grip but not to a very high extent, also your milage will take a hit, to what extent remains a question.

. The bike stopped fully. The road had sand also. So far the performance is good. Lets see.
I am not looking for mileage. I think mileage may drop around 3kmpl.

Instead of upsizing why didn't you opted for soft compound tyres,Originally posted by 2008venkatesh View PostWhile returning from the office, I tried to lock the wheel at low speed and the wheel didn't lock

Im saying this because i feel that 150section tyre needs bigger rim or else it will squeeze and make it even more round and at last that 60 will turn to 70
(150/60 may turn to 140/70)
And if contact patch remains same then its Of NO use.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
You are correct. I was not aware that 150 requires bigger rim. Even in thread nobody was talking/advising about rim. After installation only I came to know. Grip wise it is good. Anyhow next tyre change may be after some 20 to 25K kms.Originally posted by Yatheesh S Yashashvi View PostInstead of upsizing why didn't you opted for soft compound tyres,

Overall I am happy with its performance and looks.

Right now I am getting 35kmpl. Roughly I was telling there might be 3kmpl drop in mileage. I will check it with the new one.Originally posted by Sanket s View PostAwesome! Only one question remaining now... Abhi kitna Deti h?? 😂😂 with right air pressure I don't think there will be a drop of 3 Kmpl hardly 1kmpl.
