Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Post 2000kms update :-
Gearbox :
The gearbox has become much much better. I would not say butter smooth, but a lot better compared to what it was initially. Previously the downshifts were really bad and always used to give an unpleasant feel. But now they are pretty good. Maybe it is true that gearbox gets better overtime. But the gears don't slot properly everytime. Only 6/10(approx) times they slot correctly. In the other cases there is a slight delay in transition. Maybe changing to Motul might change this.
Vibrations:
The vibes, slightly there near that 4-5k rpm range, feel ticklish on the foot pegs. Went on a short ride about 80kms today and kept the bike mostly above 6-7k rpm. During the going part of the journey at high speeds there were vibes on the handle bars. But while returning, on the same speeds there was nothing at all. So I would assume that it was the engine braking that I felt while going.
Highway Stability:
During the returning part of journey, the wind blast was too much. It wasn't a familiar highway, so I wasn't confident enough. The bike was planted pretty good, but I felt like I'm gonna be thrown off(weighing 64kgs). Honestly I am not used to cruising at a constant 100-110kmph, so might just be my lack of experience. Best part was that the bike didn't seem to stress at top ends even when kept constant.
I strongly believe that changing to a better oil will make my experience even more pleasant.
[P.S: Only one servicing done, running on stock oil and stock bike.]

Why are you pushing your bike to 100-110kmph speeds with just one service done? You are still in the run-in period and this is not recommended, you have to maintain lower speed for a little longer (third service) before you open throttle.Originally posted by GhostRider666 View PostPost 2000kms update :-

I believe the run-in period is 2000kms brother? And also the manual says 3rd service is at 10,000kms or 1 year from purchase which is a bit too long to ride it so slow. And moreover I had to do it to keep up with the rest of the group. Correct me if I'm wrong.Originally posted by Arijit Dutta View PostWhy are you pushing your bike to 100-110kmph speeds with just one service done? Agreed, kept an eye out to not stick to a constant rpm for too long.Originally posted by Yatheesh S Yashashvi View PostToo much babying will not help in any way,
Even in running in you have to openup the throttle,
Running in constant RPM is also not recommended.

2. Since its a bomb i guess it damages something
3. scare them with bombing , Join ISIS man .
4. Revving above 8k in 5/6G is acceptable, below that its pointless.
I suggest you use horns to steer away pedestrians , but i guess your weapon of choice is bombs so goodluck with that.

Sometimes it is ok to rev the engine in every gear, it clears the carbon deposits and fuel injectors. But anything and everything above limit will kill your engine. Keep it very very occasional.Originally posted by Sanket s View PostHey does rev bombing...yes rev bombing harms your bike ?...I have a lots of pedestrian in my area walking on the road n I scare them every time😂😂.. the exhaust sound above 8k rpm is crazy good. Incessant revving like mad is bad for the bike.
Not good. You may startle old people/kids. Also, your bike might scare you one day due to the harm to engine caused each day with such actions.Originally posted by Sanket s View PostI have a lots of pedestrian in my area walking on the road n I scare them every time..
Agree with this.Originally posted by Sanket s View Postthe exhaust sound above 8k rpm is crazy good.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I guess if you kept varying the speeds that's cool but 3rd service should be closer if you count month wise as that would come before the 10k mark.Originally posted by GhostRider666 View PostI believe the run-in period is 2000kms brother? Do not mix coolants. Top up using the same coolant that is already in the bike. If you wish to change to another coolant, flush the whole system and then put in the new one. Different coolants may have chemicals that aren't compatible with each other. If it is an emergency, you can top off with some distilled water and later flush the system to put fresh coolant. That would only be needed in case of coolant loss in the middle of no where while on a ride and other such situations.Must ride on!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hi Guys,
Last week I ran the bike in rain for 45mins around 30-40kmph. Last two days I was riding in slow moving traffic with frequent gear change. Today I rode it on outer ring road and felt some vibration. Now gear shifting (up/down) felt slightly hard and takes time to bring the neutral.
My questions are,
Recently I have cleaned my chain 400kms before. Do I need to clean and lube the chain? OR
Do I need to replace the oil? After oil change, I have run the bike for 3000Kms. I am using Motul 7100 20W50.
This week only I am facing this problem.
Thanks

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
clean & lube the chain and then see if there's any difference, engine oil should be fine because 7100 engine oil can easily lasts minimum 6000kms.Originally posted by 2008venkatesh View PostThis week only I am facing this problem.
