Clean front sprocket,Originally posted by 2008venkatesh View PostHi, Yesterday I cleaned the chain and I was not able to clean it fully. Still I can see some dirt. After cleaning the chain I started the engine and it was running in the first gear and it made "kadak kadak" noise. So I adjusted the chain slack. Earlier It was 27.5 and now I have made it to 28 (strange noise gone). But I felt significant improvement while riding (May be psychological).
I use Motul chain clean, tooth brush and cloth. I could hear sand noise.
Is there any better way to clean fully?
Use kerosene in sprayer bottle for chain it cleans everything.

I use kerosene to clean the chain. I have filled an old Colin bottle with kerosene and use the spray to douse the chain completely. Then I scrum it with toothbrush on both sides of the chain. Once this is done, I use kerosene generously on the chain till it is dripping and finally wipe it with a cloth. Job done.Originally posted by 2008venkatesh View PostYes. You are correct. I am waiting for your valuable suggestions. So that I can clean it properly and lube it with full satisfaction. I haven't dried the chain. The brush is not helping fully.
But cleaning is not the most important part of the job: Lubing is. Make sure that you lube the chain properly and don't ride the bike for about 2 hrs.
Hope this helps.Riding a bike is like flying.... All your senses are alive...

I cleaned the front sprocket (The front sprocket they have designed it perfect and I like it very much which doesn't allow to store more dirt. Great design from Bajaj).Originally posted by Yatheesh S Yashashvi View PostClean front sprocket,

Usually I clean the chain at evening and I will ride my bike in the morning only.Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View PostI use kerosene to clean the chain. I checked it in online. Have you used this brush? I hope it won't be like conventional brush.Originally posted by jRay View PostGet a Grunge Brush like this one. Helps clean the chain quickly
I will try your ideas. Petrol and diesel are easily available. Shall I use diesel or petrol instead of kerosene?

I have the same brush, works great, don't use petrol or diesel, use a chain cleaner or if you don't have a cleaner use kerosene, just clean the chain thoroughly before lubingNever ride faster than your guardian angel can fly.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Guys,
I traveled to Yelagiri from Chennai last weekend.
The coverage was around 220KMs one way.
While riding i found some smokes coming out of the bottom and also some foe smell as well.
I changed the engine oil immediately in nearby bajaj service station and could find the smoke reduced. but it smell bad at times during the return journey.
Please advise what went wrong.
the oil was changed around 2200KMS from first service.
Also Chennai guys, please advise which is the best place to do service..
Adyar Jai autos/ Khivraj or some other places. Please advise at the earliest. Thanks in advance.Bikers Count Days as LIVED Only When Spent With Bikes !!
