  • Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience

    Hello everyone.
I am going to buy a RS200 soon and I had a few questions about it. I am a complete rookie and I previously owned a splendour. Please forgive me if my questions seem silly.
    1. What are the front and rear tyre pressure values?
    2. In my splendour the exhaust becomes hot and therefore it is advised to not let anything touch the exhaust. Does the exhaust of RS200 become hot too? I mean can we tie the luggage on top of the exhaust?

Its not under the engine, its a small stubby exhaust coming out of the right side, but its not advisable to tie luggage on it or give any kind of pressure to it.

          Thank you.
I won't be tieing it to the exhaust. I'll tie to something else but can I keep stuff on the exhaust without melting/burning it?

Yes you can. The main part of the silencer is under the bike and hidden. Only the tip is extended and shown out so heat will be low.

So my bike's has been dripping coolant through the radiator for a while now, and by dripping I mean totally let loose, I lost almost about the whole canister of coolant in the bike in a couple of days (Hadn't paid attention into fixing it then). So I got it into the garage (company branch that's run privately) and they told me I'll have to wait til someone from the company comes into to check the bike since they aren't suited enough to work with the RS yet. So a couple days passed and on Monday they've stripped it down and found out the radiator is actually leaking? That's all I got to know and that's all the garage got to know from the company's mechanic who looked into the bike. Told me I've to replace the radiator and asked me if I've serviced it regularly, I got two of the records in the booklet they provided me when I purchased the bike and the two other reports are logged in at the company, so four services in total until 11k km. So they let me get the radiator replaced under warranty. I've to wait til past Thursday since that's when the radiator will be delivered to the garage and it'll take a day or two til they get it fixed, hopefully. I'm missing the bike big time and I hope nothing else is wrong with it.

Sorry for the instagram pic of my bike lol.

                          Hi immi92 .
Best of luck for your rs 200 purchase. For pdi check for tyres . Tyres should not have wear and tear or some cuts. Start the engine for some seconds and hear the engine sound . Take a experienced person with you who is familiar with sound of these engine's.
Check for all electrical such as lights and other things
Check the alignment of the vehicle for this ask the dealer for small ride and check the handling of the bike . Bike should go straight when you leave the handle it should not sway right or left .
                          Check for minor scratches
All fairing screw should be present.
Check for chain slackness if required adjust.
                          Also check for brakes
And most important thing check the Kms on the meter if it is from 2 to 5 or then it is normal.
                          Hope this helps..

Just read a few days ago that they started production again due to rising demand.

Apparently due to the mixed response from the public the production was halted, but now production is back in action.

Are you absolutely sure the RS is no more being produced?

I think theres a little confusion. I confirmed with Supreme BAJAJ dealers in Mangalore just now and they said its NS 200 which has been taken off the production and RS 200 is still in production.
