One addition to the process of getting ride of service symbol on the console:

Make sure that you have ODO mode in the tripmeter before starting the process. This wont work if you have either of the two trip meters at display. Also, in the final step keep the set button pressed for ~ 5 sec.

The reason it took many tries for you might be because you did not have the "ODO" mode at display.

      Hey Guys

Is the Rs200 Workshop service manual available online or accessible to owners? The workshop manual can come in handy for any electrical /mechanical modifications, DIY servicing etc. If any owner has good rapport with a service technician then could he/she kindly scan and upload the manual? or if not the whole manual then atleast the electrical circuit diagrams of the Pilot /DRL lights, headlights?
I have seen a video on youtube where the owner can increase the brightness of the DRL, coz the current setup is too dim to be called DRL However im not sure how reliable the little LED dimmer controller is. Having a knowledge of the circuit diagrams before doing anything is of great importance.

I am not very knowledgeable in electronics but seeing that video can any member recommend how to reliably increase the brightness? change the LED bulbs? decrease the resistor of the LED(How?) or use a constant voltage or constant current driver??
After 6 months of going stock the modification bug is biting a bit

PS: I am not interested in flashing/blinking of the DRL, just an increase in brightness.

Hey all.. I got my bike abt a month back. On a recent trip to bangalore i left my bike parked in the shade in my hostel for 5 days. On returning i discovered its become home to a colony of black ants! I asked the gardner to hose dwn the vehicle as i was in a hurry to get to work. I came back 2 hours later and everything seemed fine. No more ants. This is wen my problems started. The bike started to jerk amd stutter while riding. I took it to the bajaj service center, they cheked the fuel tank and there was water in it. They emptied the fuel and mopped the water with a cloth. Replaced the same fuel, sayin nothin would go wrong. I'm still facing the stutteing issue. Plz let me know wat to do. Its driving me crazy. Spent 1.6 lakhs on the vehicle and now i dnt even want to look at it anymore. Suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks. 🙏

One small issue and you hate it already?

Avoid asking your gardener/security chap to wash the bike, let alone hose it like crazy.
These people don't care if water seeps in the tank or bends radiator fins or gets into the spark plug hole.

For the time being, SVC has already done 2 things for you.
          1. Clean/dry the spark plugs holes.
          2. Remove water from the tank.

          What you should do.
          1. Throw all the old fuel.
          2. Get the injectors inspected.
          3. Use Iftex System G (just a precautionary measure) for the next 2 tank fills. 1ml per liter of fuel. Available at BP petrol stations nation wide!

P.S - type in full English words. No SMS lingo on the forum please! Thanks.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I just left the bike at the service centre and the guy promised to clean out the tank remove all the old fuel and air the tank. Will definitely look into the Iftex SG. Thanks again. Will update soon. 🙏

So anyone looking for frame sliders on the RS 200, I had a chat with the guy in the youtube video (Akshay Sapra), and he linked me to the frame sliders that he has got for the bike (which he later tapped black to avoid the bright red color).

P.S according to the design I guess this one should work too : http://www.amazon.in/Generic-Sliders...=frame+sliders

Here is an screenshot Mr Akshay describes its fitment :

Got the bike cleaned again...there was still water inside. The technician said it will take a few days for it to completely disappear. Is this true? Te official Bajaj service centre here has been shut down. So getting the fuel injectors cleaned is going to be an issue. Do I continue to use the bike normally or should I ride to the nearest city and get it properly serviced?? (nearest city is Bijapur 84kms away). As far as the performance goes ..its vastly improved from yesterday. Do I wait it out or do I take immediate action??

                  Hi,

I have done small mod on front mudguard. Followed from Benelli TNT 300 DIY thread.

I put a small hole to fix the bolt and nut. Also used double sided tape.

Thanks Akshay..I have seen these some where in youtube only but this has only one screw for attachment.I dont think that it will provide good protection to fairing during unforeseen crash..and frame sliders must be installed on frame or chassis only, any further extension for fitments is not a good idea because there are chances of damaging frame, fairing or any other parts during fall.

I am working on same and will let you know when I get some satisfactory solution. The frame sliders available for KTM duke are proper one but those are very costly..near 3.5k..Will see if we can install those some where on main frame or not.

Yes brother, the sliders on the video are not that strong and might not take the weight of a moving bike as its connected on a single rod, and that too with modifications, moreover i believe its better to get the fairing damaged than get the frame of the bike bent, which would incur very high cost of repairs.

I just shared it because I took the information from him

Dual bolted sliders are the actual ones but i don't think RS200 has a mount for that.

Anyways, I hope you find something good, and when you do, share it here too

                          Cheers

Guy getting a very poor average of only 24MAX is it because it is new?. I filled total of 4+6ltrs =10liters odo reading was 300 at that time. Now it's only 540 and reserve is already blinking. I usually change gears at 6-7k rpm. I feel cheated from bajaj.
