You can use the same ones that people buy for cars.Originally posted by Gowtham Gowdaman View PostGuys, is there is any navigation devices for bikes which works without internet same like those in car...??
Like Map My India. Just need to figure a holder and USB charging for the navigator.---

If not dont comment unnecessarily, it does reduce vibrations if you switch to semisynth after 6k kms, fully synthetic after 10k.
My friend owns RS200 and i have my Race tuning center so i know better..you own RS ..doesnt mean that you know everything about the bike.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hey guys!
So about a month ago I removed the silencer (end pipe) to check out how the bike sounds. I was surprised the sound is actually quite nice. It's now much deeper and much louder (but not unbearable).
I haven't had any problems since removing the silencer (aside from losing a bolt). What do you guys say should I keep it this way or should I put the silencer back on?
I made a video about it if anyone is interested:

Thanks!

Even I have removed the silencer and rode the bike for 1 day. The sound was awesome. But we have to fit some pipe at the end of the silencer. The smoke will come to our leg.
What I felt was some improvement in acceleration and sound. But I put the side mount back, since this mod should not trouble our engine.
Have you observed anything in the following areas like smoothness, vibration, power, etc?

If I'm wearing flip flops then definitely the hot gases burn the foot but I noticed this to be an issue only in stop and go traffic where one is required to put the foot down for balance quite often. I now wear sandals or shoes while riding the bike.Originally posted by 2008venkatesh View PostHi,

I noticed that the vibrations at the foot pegs reduced drastically. The bike is much more smooth now and top end acceleration has also improved (but not by much).
One more thing, not all RS 200's sound the same. A friend of mine also removed the end can and his bike still has that signature "puff puff" sound. His bike also seems to emit a less bassy sound (it's a little on the shrilly side).
I don't think there is any side effect to this procedure and surely it won't harm the engine as it is just a silencer.
This is the cheapest and easiest way to modify the sound of the bike, and as an added bonus the mileage of the bike is not affected in any way!
Cheers!

Which engine oil do you use? I am using Motul 7100 and I got bassy sound.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostIf I'm wearing flip flops then definitely the hot gases burn the foot but I noticed this to be an issue only in stop and go traffic where one is required to put the foot down for balance quite often. But the side mount does some back pressure job I guess. If I find any end pipe for the tip, I will remove the side mount for longer period

I'm still using the stock Bajaj DTSi Oil.Originally posted by 2008venkatesh View PostWhich engine oil do you use? I am using Motul 7100 and I got bassy sound.

Planning to switch to semi synthetic oil at 6K kms. Did you use semi synth as well or did you directly use the 7100?
I'm thinking of using the Motul 5100 15w50. Would you recommend it?
I haven't found anything to attach on the underbelly exhaust but if you want you can get one made custom for you. If you do, remember to post pics here.
Cheers!

Don't change the oil grade. I have experienced with different grade oil. The first impact will be on the gear box. Gear shifting will become very hard. So don't change the grade of the oil. Immediately I changed the oil to the right grade (Hardly 10kms I rode with different grade oil). Stick to 20W50.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostI'm still using the stock Bajaj DTSi Oil.

There are different views on changing the oil. Many people are suggesting (Including me) to switch the oil after 6K. I was not happy with the Bajaj oil, so I switched it semi synthetic at early stage (ODO was 1K) and I switched it to Motul 7100 (ODO was 2K).
Bro, It is up to you whether to change it or not. As per manual, the engine warranty will void, if we switch it to some other oil

I've discussed with the SVC and they said you can change it without telling anyone and the warranty will stay intact.Originally posted by 2008venkatesh View PostDon't change the oil grade. What semi synthetic oil did you use? I searched around a lot but I couldn't find Motul 5100 20w50 anywhere.
How is your ride behaving with fully synthetic oil? Are there any vibrations? I've heard that the 7100 is good for higher revs only and at lowers revs engine becomes very harsh. Is this true?
Thanks for the info!

Acceleration got improved after Motul 7100 and it is good for low as well as high revs. Vibration will be there between 4 to 5K RPM. The engine doesn't feel harsh at low RPM.
The RS always wants to rev more and more

When would you suggest to switch to a full synthetic 7100?Originally posted by 2008venkatesh View PostI used the same one Motul 5100 15W50.

Could you be more elaborate in your oil changing patterns in respect to kms covered.

It could be better, if you change the oil to Motul 5100 at 6000 kms and Motul 7100 after 8000 kms. (These suggestions are based on many bike forums)Originally posted by Arijit Dutta View PostWhen would you suggest to switch to a full synthetic 7100?

I switched it to semi synthetic at 1000kms and fully synthetic at 2000kms. I have run my bike more than 3000kms with Motul 7100. In the initial time I observed the harshness in the engine. Now I don't feel any harshness. The usual vibration will be there between 4 to 5K RPM. The engine will be smooth even at the red line.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
you can download maps in google maps and then use them without internet. Google maps provide an option for offline areas, select the are you want to download and then you can use it without internet. However, it has a drawback that it needs to be updated monthly.Originally posted by Gowtham Gowdaman View PostGuys, is there is any navigation devices for bikes which works without internet same like those in car...??
I look best when I take my helmet off, I have a glow on my face and a bit of helmet hair ;)
