I've had this behavior from the very beginning.

I have seen it reduced to some extent in my friends bike who had his throttle cable tightened, but I couldn't get them to do it on my bike.

You may try to do it yourself but only proceed if you know what you're doing.

Okay, now if this is something which is being faced by a lot of us around. I am planning to visit the SC. I'll then share the inputs if i'll get anything from the SC guys.
2008venkatesh : The " drr drr drr " sound you are talking about generally comes when we fire the self and it take a while for rpm to settle down and it is when it makes such noise. I have felt similar sound when you travel at speeds above 60 km/hr and then if you decelerate and shift gears down, the bikes sounds like " drr drr " as if shes grinding something.

has anyone of us had such experience? Any suggestions , comments anything would be helpful !
I look best when I take my helmet off, I have a glow on my face and a bit of helmet hair ;)

This sound I aware which comes while shifting down. Sudden noise where RPM reads approx 3K RPM.

I was telling different type of sound(not exactly noise) which comes at constant speed (The sound will be like when you passing barry guards which are kept continuously on the road - I hope you can realize what type of noise)

Yeah, sorry for using noise in above post. I actually meant Sound which we often hear. I am not sure about the sound you get at constant speed, but i get the same sound when moving at constant speed and all of a sudden bike resists as if she's not getting fuel. then she makes drr drr drr sound. and the same sound we get when we shift down gears.

No need of Sorry bro. Chill

If the fuel indicator bar goes below two bars, it may happen. If it is happening with more fuel, then there will be some other issue. Just give a try.

Note: I tried Shell, HP petrol pumps and engine used to stop whenever I decelerate or reduce the speed suddenly for humps, potholes, etc. Now I am filling in same petrol bunk (Indianoil) and normal petrol. I never allowed fuel to go below 3 bars (Everytime I fill approximately for Rs.550- 570 ~ 8 to 8.2L )

Ya even I reported this issue but it was not solved for the throttle acceleration problem. My Rs200 has third speedometer changed .

Just curious, you experience this when you let go of the throttle?

In my case I have a little lag in acceleration when I twist the throttle, it seems to die first but suddenly fires right back up with a small jerk.

The throttle ON-OFF transition is a little jerky in my bike.

Haven't yet observed any sound while decelerating except the engine noise and vibrations.

There is a way to do it but it voids warranty and will drain the battery.

Someone did it on the 200 NS successfully so I'm assuming the process is similar for our bike.

Google it you will find a blog which details the steps. I'll add a link if I find it first.

Cheers!

I didn't know this!

You mean you can switch on low/high beam lights without starting the bike.
Or just drls and parking lamps.

I guess they added it in the newer batches.

I remember there was a wiring harness update a few months back. Maybe that's when this feature was installed.

I wonder if is possible to back port it to the older bikes like ours?

Nope!

Nothing works without starting the bike. Even the LCD display light doesn't work which makes it really hard to read the display without starting the engine first. Which is kind of pointless.

Unless you press the pass switch, then the headlights work for as long as you press that button. This is not a very convenient method if you want the lights ON without starting the engine in some emergency.

Why does Bajaj do this to the RS 200? The other Pulsars seem to have this feature, and so do the Duke/RC bikes.

Agree to you as all other sports bike have this feature and why bajaj has not included in RS200 is a question ❓
