It is Nice to read about the Different Experiences with the bikes by different personnel..
as a general Consensus i am hearing the Service centers are run by A**Holes who doesnt know how to start a bike to just hitting it to get it to start..

I Am Nearing the First Service 500km Soon, so have no idea what i'll be getting out of it.

I did have a dobt, The Radiator Fan was working when i got the bike new. but its going to be almost a month now, i havn't heard it running since.. should i be worried? will this be checked in the service?
The engine gets reasonably hot, Too hot to touch, but not uncomfortable to sit on the bike. is there anyway i can check if the Fan is running manually, like an override or something?
Any Input on the issue will be much appreciated!
      Thanks in advance

Bro if u are travelling at lower speeds I guess below 40kmph then radiator fan starts but if you are travelling at higher speeds above 40+kmph then the air blast helps cool the engine so radiator doesn't work correct me if I am wrong.

And guys if are having old bike that it before April 2016 models if I am right everyone are getting clutch update from bajaj for hardshifting of gears and clutch gear related queries..

I have raised the issue about the clutch and am yet to get a response. Will be going there tomorrow again to see the if they are willing to do it on our older bikes.

Will let you all know what happens. Cheers!

                Hey guys,

Its been quite some time since i posted an update. My RS200 has covered 7.5k km and is 11 months old.

Since my 1 year service is due next month, ill switch over to motul 7100, the current motul 4100 was changed at 5k km and is already showing its age. I guess this oil holds good for 3k km and then slowly deteriorates, though its way better that std DTSi oil.
No increase in vibrations and fairing rattles, which is way less as compared to brand new but its the same from the last service.
No issues with electrical and no issues with heating, the bike behaves normally, but this can be attributed to my 90% driving in medium traffic, hardly any bumper to bumper traffic.
Mileage remains the same ,drive sedately, achieve 40 kmpl, start up-shifting post 7k rpm and get 32-34 kmpl.

After 7.5k km, i will just list out the negatives or irritants

                1. I have seen some members complain about this, whenever i am in a low gear(say 3rd) and high rpm(4k to 5k ) with constant accelerator, the bike tends to loose power by itself and suddenly increase by itself. Also at this stage if i try to increase throttle the the bike gives a single jerk . Happens only at lower gears. Never could repeat this issue in 4th or 5th gear at higher RPMs. started happening at the onset of the rains.

I read about dirt in the fuel tank and cleaning of throttle body. Can it also be a dirty air filter? IF any owner has experienced this and has got it solved, please post it here.

                2. I have been observing since the past 4 months that the rear monoshock, near the top cap like thing has a thin layer of dark oily grime. I am not sure if its a leak or if its road grime which settles on top but if i clean it, within a month its back to its usual layer of thick oily dirt.
I haven't felt much difference with the rear suspension, it fells much softer (in a good way) than what it was when brand new, but isnt that normal? sometimes though the rear tends to bounce over potholes and sometimes it tends to sag but it could just be me over imagining it.
attaching a couple of pics, its not very detailed but gives an idea what im talking about.

3 Final issues which has persisted, though rarely, is the starting issue after the bike stalls or sometimes after a couple of days of remaining idle. Needs multiple cranks and slight throttle input.
IDK if the is linked with my 1st problem but ill hopefully/successfully get this diagnosed at the Useless bajaj service center.

I guess if bajaj had competent service centers we wouldn't be asking constantly for help here to pre-diagnose our problems and offer these solutions to the clueless service guys.but such is the state of bajaj so if any owner has solutions to these problems , kindly post it here if itsnt already posted.

                • pulsar rs 200 acceleration problem

                  hello,
i own a pulsar rs200 abs for more than a year , ridden nearly 10k kms. After the last servicing i'm feeling a difference in acceleration of my bike. it feels like ridding with half clutch engaged, though the difference in acceleration is not big but still enough to feel that there is some problem. after 5k rpm everything becomes okay. As the engine passes 5k mark it gives a jerk n there onward bike accelerates quickly. i tried clutch cable setting but no luck. what could be the problem. i don't think clutch plates give up in just 10k kms & i ride carefully, have a good riding experience so no chance of early wear. but i cant figure out the problem. please help me.

                        Hey guys!
I recently purchased RS 200 demon black and am a proud owner!
I have been following this thread since a long time and the owners valuable suggestions were very useful during the entire purchase process including PDI! thanks for that!

I have just clocked 25 kms on my rs and today morning when I took out my rs I heard weird noise from rear wheel when reiterated itself during each rotation of wheel
the noise was exactly similar to OLD fan screeching noise when its completes one turn (like kooin...................kooooin..............koooo oin).
The noise disappeared when wheel completed few rotations.
                        same thing happened today evening!

Can the senior members please help me identify the problem and solve it.

                        Thanks!!

Kinda funny though, kooin, kooin or ziiing, ziing when rotating the rear wheel, it's just the pads rubbing against the disc or the chain rubbing against the sliders which is perfectly normal. Should subside once the kms clock in. But if you hear it more than the engine noise say after 4 to 5k RPM, check your wheel alignment.

You have a rear shock oil leak. It's very minuscule, but given time, it can give away any moment especially when fully loaded. And it's good that you've spotted it at a very early stage, that is shock oil leaking and the dust surrounding the oil reservoir cap. Get the shock replaced.

                            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                            THE END

have you visited service center?what was their solution on the issue? In my case, service center guys are adjusting the clutch cable only, which cant solve the problem. :-(

Service centre mechanics are not able to rectify the issue.
According to them it's normal for the bike to hesitate 😠😠
