          Welcome to the club!

For riding gear queries there is a separate thread. You can ask there and get better answers by more experienced members.

I personally would suggest a SOL 68 S II (Metalman) or any one of the MT Blade series for a helmet. The Spartan Kranos is also a great helmet.

Gloves depend on you there is a vide variety available catering to different conditions. I find the Rynox Shield Pro gloves to be a perfect fit.

I hope you invest in a riding jacket like the Spartan Helios/Hyperion for more protection. Cheers!

              Yes .
But change after few 100kms of usage after service so that they don't notice .

Use bajaj oil while servicing at regular intervals at SVC to maintain warranty .

                Hi All,

i am from Tamilnadu owning RS200 from last December-15 and bike is of october-15 batch. till now i have done all the three free services and no circular updates or upgrades done to my bike. during free services, complaints rectified and regular maintainance checks done. but here in this thread i have been regular and can see some circulars for bajaj regarding RS200 upgrade mentioned but none of them has been installed till now to me. i have complained about this to couple of dealers but no one cares. i have complained directly to bajaj and awaiting response from them. in the mean time, i want to be clear that till date what are the circulars came for RS200.

upto my knowledge some of them are below, anything else pls mention it...
                1) brake cable switch sides
                2) rollover sensor mount screws change
                3) clutch plate upgrade and springs replacement

apart from this i am facing these problems frequently,
                1) lot of black residue from exhaust outlet.
                2) sometimes rarely i feel air got more while throttling(i mean no power and almost switch off, i guess some problem with fuel injection). this happens during the short rides only(my tank is always full or altleast two bars till i refuel)
                3) most important one- very low ground clearance, i dont think i have the mentioned level. i have keep the suspension to hardest so that i get maximum ground clearance. but even then i hit the underbelly in every speed breaker, if there is a pillion then defiitely a big hit. i would have hit atleast a 300 times.

i expect if i had missed any upgrades circulars and if possible the solution to the above mentioned problems.

                regards,
                Raghav SSR

Guys I am facing ABS related problem.
Before taking it to the service center , thought of checking myself first.

                  Issue:
Light indications on console are normal,ABS light turns on at self check & goes off once I start moving-Normal.
But, ABS does not engage during hard breaking.
Earlier I used to feel the movement on front brake lever of ABS Engaging & modulating pressure but now nothing even I hard brake front or rear,ABS does not Activates.
Also noted During Hard braking ABS light used to flash briefly ,which is also not happening.

                  1) Cleaned wheel sensors with water wash.
                  2) Checked all three Fuses relating to ABS,also reseated them- All looks fine, .
                  3) Checked brake sensors working fine (tested - brake light activates once brake is pressed-Correct me if there is another sensor on brakes For ABS).

If it is ABS module related failure hope it is covered in 2 years warranty as nothing is mentioned in manual.(Hope it doesn't come under Electrical parts as it is not covered)

Tomorrow I will Try to re-plug ABS module side cable, Anything else should I check? , please suggest .

                      .
                      Who said this!?
                      Or where did you read.

                      Abs only works above 10-15km/hr
Hard braking rear will not activate abs!!

** If can control bike while wheel locking you can try hardbraking front on gravel/sandy roads!!
(never try this without any protective gears)

I had personally noticed it briefly flash while breaking 2-3 times so I thought it is normal but it was some time back.

Don't think I can deliberately do that , but I will be doing some long ride next week so as per the conditions of our road ,this scenario will also be tested.

I've heard from the service center in Bangalore that a certain batch of bikes have issues with it's ABS system. And yes, you can get it changed under warranty if it's defective.
