Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
They probably haven't touched it yet. SVC had mine for a week and they only took it in when I went there and complained. I say a pay a visit to the SVC and see for yourself.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostI am considering it slowest SVC. Either they have no clue what issue is or they haven't touched the bike yet.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hello Forum Brothers!
Its been a long time since I visited the thread. I am sure that I've skipped on a lot of useful info.
My bike has already munched 5k KM and over the time the expected smoothness has not set in yet. I am planning to change oil to see if it makes any difference. Kindly share your wisdom on whether 10W-40 grade semi-synthetic oil can be used with RS200.
Regards,

Don't use 10W-40 grade oil. Use 10W-50 or 15W-50 fully synthetic oil. Second 2 digits should always be 50 don't go for 40.Originally posted by abbysodhi View PostHello Forum Brothers!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
So I've got some interesting news to share.
I purchased my bike in June 2015. I had four major issues. Gaps in the fairing, "thud" noise when the bikes goes over humps or into potholes, vibration noise above 3k RPM coming from the front and a metal scratching kind of noise when I accelerate after shifting to the first gear.
Made complaints through Bajaj's Toll-Free number. Service Center tried re-fitting the fairing thrice. Even tried applying double sided tape which frankly looked like chewing gum.
Raised another complaint and went to the service center and told them that I've tried all that they asked for and I still have issues and that the parts should replaced under warranty.
The service manager agreed and they are going to change the clutch plate. They will try and put in a "mounting clamp" to fix the fairing gap and if that doesn't work, he'll approve and get the fairing replaced. The service engineer said that the vibration noise above 3k RPM is coming from the instrument panel. And they'll also look into the "thud" noise and the metal scratching sound.
Will update when I get my bike back.

Do post if you are able to get the thud noise gone from the front. We have been trying to find out exactly what causes that sound for some time now but no luck. Good luck buddy!Originally posted by Donmathew View PostSo I've got some interesting news to share.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hi! This is my first post here. I have been riding a Honda Activa since last 4 years.
Now i want to purchase a bike. My budget is 1L and i have shorlisted used Honda CBR 250r STD 2013/14 model and used Pulsar RS200 ABS 2015 model which i will hopefully get in my budget. I have very less knowledge of bikes and i dont have much experience in riding a bike as well.
I have shortlisted these two bikes because i like their looks and want to buy 1 of the above 2. My daily commute is within the city that is 10-15kms everyday and i rarely hit the highways, maybe once in 2-3 months. I need help regarding the maintenance cost of these two bikes. How much does an average service cost? What is the mileage i can expect in city. How much is the annual maintenance cost of RS200?
I want a bike which will be easy on the pocket.
Also i have read on many sites that RS200 suffers from fairing vibration. Is that true?
Please help me choose between these 2.
Thanks in advance 😊

Every bike with a fairing has some amount of fairing rattle/vibration. I rode a CBR 150R and that thing was vibrating so much it was unbearable to ride it.Originally posted by Salman192 View PostHi! This is my first post here. I have been riding a Honda Activa since last 4 years.

Within your budget I say you should look for a street bike like the Gixxer 150 or AS150 or maybe even the Apache 200. I say this because the RS is not easy to ride in traffic, it heats up a lot, has a small turning circle, and is wide in the front so you can't split between cars easily.
This machine can only be enjoyed on an empty road or a highway. Test ride it, and make a wise decision.
Cheers.
