    Hi,

I'm getting my bike ( black , ABS) from sai service bajaj , borivali today evening. I have an option to put Teflon coating (they are insisting )and they will charge me close to 1200 INR. Is it good for the bike?.If it is should I do it today itself or wait till first service?

Thanks for the details but im really surprised/shocked to hear that the brake cable got cut in the first place, and that too in 3 bikes. I a novice rider, this being my first bike but are brake cables easily susceptible to catastrophic failure without any external factor like an accident or over tightening of the cable(is this a valid scenario??) Has bajaj used poor quality cables or their design or placement bad?

Im sorry to keep on bugging you but i want to understand the issues and hopefully be vigilant with my bike.

        Guys ,
Last month, I did my second free service & technician cut one simple black plastic cable tie securing front brake line & sensor cable (near radiator hose),I asked him- why?
as he informed me it was instructed them by Bajaj as it was causing problem with brakes & without it also wire is well secured with existing clips.
        Do check on yours .

Roads were not good from Asangaon to Tansa Lake and that was true test for my Pulsar RS200. Its been 6 months and i have rode 7000+ Kms on my RS200. RS200 can do offroads on uneven grounds, fields, farms etc.

It was fun riding Solo to Tansa Lake... Here's the Video

          Thanks

          Great to see that...

Now here is my Review and Experiences with the Pulsar RS200

I too bought the RS200 on 14 Jan 2016. Rode almost around 200 kms in the City (Bangalore). Loved the ride and power.
Planned for a ride to Coimbatore, then Ooty, then back to Bangalore. The madness of 870kms with my new bike was just awesome.
I just believed my bike, and it just never gave up. Same with my friend who accompanied me in my tour @Anunay with his mini Monster "Japanese Sword" the Yamaha R15S.

Average speed maintained was around 60-70 kmph during my tour, with 5k rpm on the top gears.

No complains on the design and styling, as everybody who passes by, gets jealous . Simply love it.
The ROAR of the engine is just fabulous. Combined which my bike derives the name of the famous Autobot, the "BUMBLE BEE".

It just so stable in the corners, but slower to jump between S-curves, due to its heavy weight. We passed the Satyamangalam Tiger Reserve, especially kissed the roads of the ghats with such sweetness. These ghats are not for the faint hearted truely.
As soon as I reached Coimbatore (The Backyard of Indian Motorsports), went to service centre "AADITHYA BAJAJ" and dropped of my bike for the first service, they just got it ready within 1.5 hours on my request.

We then started towards Ooty (the Queen of Hills), enjoyed the increase in FOG DENSITY as we climbed the mystique ghats, and the visibility also decreased significantly. The chilled weather was refreshing, and keeping us alert all the time. It was around 4 pm when we reached OOTY. Had some fine hand made chocolates there, and relaxed ourselves with a bottle of wine.

Next day, early morning, we started towards Avalanche and Emarld Lake which is around 25kms from OOTY filled with lots of OFF-ROADING. And again the RS200 proved that, even in worse road conditions it wont give up. We then moved our way back towards Bangalore, passing by the Off-roads of the Mudumallai Forest Range and then the Bandipur Tiger Reserve, seeing the cute deers on the road.

Mileage of RS200 in tour : 39-40 kmpl
          Top speed (@8.5k rpm) : 133 kmph
Average speed maintained was : 60-70 kmph throughout tour (5k rpm)

          Mileage of Yamaha R15S : 55+ kmpl

Braking is quite efficient with good bite.
Seating is a bit hard (Booty pains after 60 kms of continous riding, can be avoided by having lemon juice during breaks), but the stance is great for Touring (both Rider and Pillion).
Gear Shifting: Downshifting is hard at some times (solved by throttle blipping)
Exhaust Note: Roars (Fills up ur adrenanline )
Visibilty at Night: Superb visibilty with 55w (low beam) and 65w (high beam)
Riding Gears used: Full Face Helmet (LS2), Cramster gloves, Cramster Breezer 4S Jacket, Cramster Knee Guards, and night googles.

Hi Suneeth, yesterday I was there at Sai Service Borivali-East to pay full payment of my Beast... Can you tell me exact how much you paid for on road price of your bike?
I paid total Rs:1,52 lakhs for non abs is like Rs:1.40 lakhs and 12k for Metallic White color(they said will give my bike on 18 Feb).

For Teflon I would suggest do from 3 M store or Bike Pro-Dahisar they charge same.

              About brake line snapping/damaging;
I noticed this on 1st week, when we turn to extreme right side brake line bends like inverted V-shape, so i just removed brake line holding clamp near radiator,

Here is some pics about clamp!!Click image for larger version

Now the brake line just slides under triple-T or whatever it is...
In starting days i thought it was assembly line messup..
Now i think its actually a Issue!!!

I use to get squeaky sounds from both the brakes and especially from the front... I ignored as it was common issue in many bikes... When I wash or give it to service the sound was not coming later it pops again... Today after a short ride of 5 kms I saw the front disc is too hot even to touch whereas back disc is normal... I guess some friction but disc is not loose or misaligned, it looks good... What might be the issue...? Also I have to ride 130km and then a 30 km to reach the service guy... Is that OK..? Or any diy first-aid needed till I reach service...? Pls suggest as I just completed runin and started opening up throttle and now scared....

Mr Raghav, before going to service station please show local mechanic for reason of front disc getting hot and noise.
Also call customer service for this issue, if they can assure you.
Of course this kind of issues create negative image of bike and brand.... No doubt its a big Indian brand but what if someone riding the Beast high speed and brakes don't apply?

Well this is not a brake issue as yesterday I came to know when I took the bike to the service centre for the same problem. At service centre mechanic from KTM attended my bike and told me that the squeaky sound is from front tire friction bush which tightens the tire while riding the bike and the sound is coming because of dust entering inside it. He said this is not an issue and will go with time but not gave me a permanent solution for this. He said wait till second service of the bike. Also want to tell you that yesterday while on my way to the service centre the sound disappeared after 10km of ride. So may be its a matter of time but still annoying as there is no permanent solution. Maybe the bush needs some time or distance to set. Just ask your service centre about this and see what they have to say on this.

Also, you might be using only front brake most of the time that's why it got so hot compared to the rear one.

                      Hope this helps!

Hey guys is there a way to know what coolant comes from the factory in the RS 200?

I know Bajaj recommends either Motul Motocool or Castrol Radicool. Is there a color difference between these 2?

I seem to have almost no coolant left in my bike. So I thought I'd top up with the same brand if I can figure that out. Thanks!

Coolant level in my Night Fury is dropping quickly, due to my long rides...

Will get it checked with a local mechanic..

Mix anything as long it is green in color and don't use orange with green it will completely mess up everything.

I used petronas coolant in my RS 200.

After that i bought motul n filled upto brim of reservoir n from that day i havent added any, its still upto brim!!!

                                The difference is:

Motocool is ready to use solution. But Radicool needs to be diluted as per our requirements. Motocool looks slightly yellowish-green & Radicool is green.

From Bajaj factory coolant filled is "Motul Inugel" which is meant for cars, but somehow bajaj uses it for bikes.

Motocool is much more accurate, reliable & compatible solution. Buy 1 ltr bottle, costs around 400/- on amazon.
