Idk where to ask this but why is the Hero HX250R thread closed and is there any other thread for it?
Cause now there's word that the production ready model would be launched at the Auto Expo.

Also regarding the mileage I had got tank full when the delivery was taken and after 270 KM there are only 3 bars left on fuel indicator. Even if I be over optimistic, the bike wouldn't cross 400 KM before the tanks goes try. This translates to 31-32 KMPL as mileage.

        Fellas!!!

I seriously am in a tricky frame of mind wherein I do not know how to go about my bike now. Drove it at 4600-4700 rpm for first 250 KM and ended up getting very low mileage, in addition most of the people hold a totally different view on engine break in procedure than what I have been following.

Kindly guide what is to be done now. Shall I continue the same way or revert back to lesser rpm range (say 4K)?

        Regards,

I have crossed 600kms and gave for 1st service. I have increased the speed to 70kmph now. I am planning to change the oil at 2000kms. Eventhough the manual says 2nd service at 4500kms. I will change the oil at 4500kms also. I am accelerating in linear mode. I am planning to increase my bike speed by 10kmph at every 250 kms.

I have left my NS 23-25 days (not sure exactly) with fuel knob turned off, but no disconnection of battery. The bike came to life in single fire. Though it was summer, but with 90% of humidity. Storage beyond 2-3 months will get you in lots of trouble. Esp with carb bikes,

Higher RPM at higher gears is fine, but 4.7-5K rpm at gear 1-2-3 is a bit high. Maintain 3-4 K rpm for lower gears and for 4,5,6 maintain 4-4.5K. Post 1000 kms, increase the range to 5K and so on. Don't babysit too much.

Use RPM rather than speed. Increase 500 rpm by every 250 km.

                Hello Everyone,

I'm back with my new video. On sunday 31st Jan i went to Tansa lake situated in Thane District Maharashtra. Roads were not good from Asangaon to Tansa Lake and that was true test for my Pulsar RS200. Its been 6 months and i have rode 7000+ Kms on my RS200. RS200 can do offroads on uneven grounds, fields, farms etc.

It was fun riding Solo to Tansa Lake... Here's the Video

                Thanks

Don't bother much on coolant level until it's completely drained.. Till your first service. The engine will eat up some coolant [emoji14]

At your service time make sure you have it filled....

That's amazing that the battery didn't drain itself.

There is a procedure for long storage of FI bikes. If followed correctly I've heard of people keeping the bike in storage for a year even!

I checked my coolant just yesterday and guess what. I can't see anything. It's not even at the minimum mark. I guess it's because I ride in traffic a lot?

Generally carb bikes have this problem as carb stores quarter liter of fuel. It needs completely draining and still the insides will require cleaning as the humidity increases the mixture will turn like a clay [emoji40].

Had this problem when i left my disco for 4 months without draining and disconnecting battery and tires started some kind of deformation. Finally they had the clean the carb, clean tank, replace battery as it lost its charge fully, then the valves clearance.... Cost me whopping 3500/-. Tiers were just okay to ride....

Coolant can't disappear as it does not evaporate. Unless it spills out, it shouldn't. Try to keep it between levels. See if you find anything greenish underneath. Damn, that's the problem with faired bike, you can't see insides....
