Can anyone tell me regarding this????????
    Hi Vineet,

Yes, it did stop. The reason behind this light was simply that my bike was connected to the odometer, i.e. it was not counting the running. This was done because the bike had not passed through RTO at the time I received it. Once I was done with RTO, they connected the odometer and the light had gone... Forever.

    Do you have similar scenario?

I thought its just one of the cases where the fitment is not done properly and adjusted it by placing a small rubberband between the two plastic parts that were making the noise. Then the rattling started from the right side after 2000km. The same solution did the trick. After 3000km, the front glass started to rattle just above the meter console. This really pissed me off. Though I had told the service engineer to check the fitment of the fairing during the service, it was not done. Then weird sounds started coming from under the meter console. This sounds like loose bolts. This was also told to the service engineer when I gave the bike for service at 4500km. Nothing was rectified and it continues to be there even now at 7500km.

Just hold on, the troubles are just starting here. At 4450km, my bike started acting in a weird way. First, the clock was reset. Then the trip meters. The fuel gauge started to show wrong reading of fuel volume in the tank. This problem started in the morning when I was going to my work place. It a really a long day and I left for home at 1am in the night. While going back, I had the same problem. Except that, after 2-3 km into my journey back home, which is 27km, the horn started to fade, headlights became dim. Engine light started to flicker. I stopped the bike to see if there are any loose connections, unfortunately I could not even get close to any of the wiring. There was an obvious burning smell too because i could feel the engine overheating. Checked the fuel and saw that atleast 4-5 liters of fuel was there. However, I thought the bike should atleast take me back home. I started the bike again and the bike felt really in a bad shape. Throttle response was bad and it was like as if fuel was going to go below reserve limit or as if there was no proper petrol flow to the engine. At the time when ghosts will be partying, I didnt think of any service centers to be open to take my bike there. Not even dogs were there on the road and I felt I had to just leave my bike there and take the cab back for the rest of 20km journey. However, I managed to ride the bike in the devastated state it was it for about 12 km until it gave up. At this point, I seriously thought of selling this bike and buying a basic 150cc bike, like unicorn or FZ or Gixxer. Next day morning, however the bike started in the same condition and i managed to ride it to the nearest Bajaj service station. They took 2 days to service it. The reason they gave was that there was one fuse that was burnt and nothing else. I wonder why they took 2 days to replace a fuse. The bike was anyway back on track. The rattling obvious remains though.

        Hi Sandeep,

        I understand your frustration man!
Based on what you have said i suspect some problem with your battery, check if your radiator fan runs when the overheating issue occours, all your complaints like engine overheating, horn fading, throttle response, headlights all seems to be connected with the battery only.

        Hope it helps ?!

Just pull in the clutch and hit the starter with the clutch engaged. Thats the only way you can start up the bike as of now.

You could try straightening it by getting the lever off however would recommend getting it changed if the bend is too much.

I walk away to ride another day

DO NOT use hammer or heavy hammering on cast parts, they can just break into two pieces if the force is too much. If your lever is bent try using a cutting plier to mend the bend. I'd suggest you replace the gear shifter lever, it's not that costly, hardly 250 bucks. Don't take chances.

              Cheers!

              The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                  Hey guys,
                  I have a question.....answer your choice plz
                  Reasoning would be appreciated.
Two of my senior friends havung pulsar RS200(red-4months old) and yamaha yzf r15 v2.0 (6 and half months old-royal blue colour) are planning to race.
Their selected track is a normal road around 45 kms .
5 kms will be bumper to bumper traffic,20 kms will be in traffic,10 kms in moderate traffic and 10 kms in extremely less traffic(almost negligible traffic) .
What do you think who is more likely to win?
                  1) if they plan only one trip of road i.e. only going?
                  And
                  2) if they plan double trip of road i.e. twice the distance i.e. going as well as coming back to tge start point?

what if the yamaha r15's driver is little bit better and won't the r15 get an advantage in the traffic?

                            Hi,

Looked for a suitable mobile mount for RS and didn't find any. All of them are mountable only on handles and as you guys know there is no space enough for that in RS handle . The only one that I could find (some one already posted pics after attaching the same on RS) will get into the way of the handle while turning (some one has already posted pics after attaching the same on RS). The other option is to buy a tank bag and and place the mobile in it while touring. But I couldn't find a suitable one as their straps are not long enough to attach on RS. Has anyone found a suitable mobile mount or tank bag ?.
